that means you can count in energy charge for buccs which does attacks too, for a total of 14 attacks

only if you can make it do dmg whenever you want like a summon.

Huh? Can you be more specific? You can just run into a mob and do damage if you want to... It doesn't take more than about 5 seconds to get Energy Charge back up.

Summons and passive skills do NOT count as attacks, as YOU'RE not the one doing the attacking. Therefore, Captains and Vipers have the highest amount of attacking skills that are still useful even past the level 150.

whatever lets you sleep well at night shikage. if thats how you want to look at it then fine. i dont see why you all get so defensensive over someone saying how fun it is to play a bucc as i have stated over and over and need to find a reason to tell me how wrong i am becuz buccs are indeed awesome.

Under those conditions MMs would have 11 attacks then, since mortal blow doesn't do damage whenever you want it to.

with a 90% activation rate, yes it does

My maxed-out Stance laughs at your 90% rate.

Or it would if it could actually stay in place for more than 5 seconds.

90% is good enough for a skill like MB since it doesn't activate unless you want it to anyway and normal whacking isn't that bad. Against weak monsters I'll run up and purposely melee them to activate a MB sometimes.

Stereo Wrote:Warrior primary stats are str/acc though, so low-dex is having less base acc than you need to hit anything if you want to put it that way. There's no real equivalent to "dexless" since you can't hunt monsters that require 0 acc, unless you just say that having the least possible base dex make you dexless.

I still think it makes more sense to just use "low-dex" when you have more than the minimum, and "dexless" when you have the minimum AP in dex.

This whole discussion is way off-topic, but I feel like putting my two cents in.

Although that's still the most commonly accepted standpoint, I think that's an outdated way to look at things. There is no advantage to having more than 4 base dex as a Warrior these days. Therefore, "normal dex" is not an accepted build, but rather it just means you're adding AP to dex to compensate for not having good enough accuracy gear. There is no defined standard normal dex.

For archers/thieves/pirates, there are only two real acceptable standard builds. The "normal" build and the "statless" build. I don't think people should make such a big deal out of exactly how much base stat they have. Having a distinction between being "dexless" (as in using Maple Weapons or other weapons with no stat req) and "normal" (using regular high level weapons and using gear for both your primary and secondary stat) is important because they are two entirely different strategies for raising your damage. Caring whether someone has fully maxed out their primary stat to its greatest potential or not is not important. A 20 dex Equinox user is no different from a 21 dex Equinox user.

Meanwhile I have nearly completely lost motivation for mine, partly because of Arans

I was like that for a while, but then I realized that I dont want to grind all the way back up to 134. I could easily get to 150-160 on my bucc in the time it would take me to get an Aran to 134. Goggleemoticon

I doubt that considering it took me a month to get to 120 on my DW, and 134-149 on my bucc took way longer than that.

Well I have an off year with college (transition from undergraduate level to graduate level, whee Cool), So I will be free to Maple to my heart's content this time around I guess. Maybe I can do it faster this time around.

Yeah, after you get to 13x on your own leveling a new character to 4th job becomes a joke.

You guys are weak sauce, I got to 175 in 8 months, and that's taking it easy and working full time. Hell I even took a month break in there.

Oh and no leeching, and sadly mages don't train with me.

Edit: I think this post comes like me being an ass, I am just playing. This all means 4th job is so easy now that if you want to make an aran you should go and make one.

And the lack of turkeyless minidungeons for this patch Tongue

I don't see many idiots when I'm training low level chars, I stay far far far away from Voodoos and Windraiders though.

Takebacker Wrote:That's low dex. Doesn't matter how low it is. If you use dex from equips to wear your knuckle, you're low dex.

Here's how I see it.

Sin with 25dex using all luk gear+skanda=dexless
Sin with 25dex using dex gear for dex req claw=pure luk
Sin with 25+dex using dex gear for dex req claw=low-dex
(depending on which claw equipped this can go up to regular-high dex)

So for pirates

Buc with 20dex using all str gear+maple knuckle=dexless
Buc with 20dex using dex gear+Dex req knuckle=pure str
Buc with 20+dex using dex gear+dex req knuckle=low-dex
(depending on which knuckle equipped this can go up to regular-high dex)

Just realised that makes myself pure str instead of dexless, thanks.
