Death sentence

I don't think there should be a death sentence, but prisoners should be allowed to end their own life.


If the criminal system was infallible and the laws were perfect, maybe in extreme cases it could be considered, but so far we're 0 fo 2. There are a lot of laws that I personally find immoral, and in terms of killing innocent people, 1 is too many.

Giving someone an STD is not as bad as murder, its not even illegal.

Capital Punishment is a tough debate- very divided with both sides generally presenting decent arguments.

I used to be pro-life, but now I am pro-choice...to a certain extent. I don't like the idea of women getting abortions for the lulz.

I agree, deliberately infecting someone with AIDS should be harshly punished. But the people most at risk for VDs are people who sleep around and/or don't use condoms. (Having worked at a medical clinic, I can assure you, there's a ton of idiots who don't use condoms.)

While it is illegal, how do you go about proving it? How does a person prove that their partner failed to disclose their contagion with an STD before sex? I understand it sounds insane, but it's possible someone might want to sleep with an infected person, relying on protection. How does a person prove that their partner KNEW about him or herself having the STD before having sex? Finally, how does the person prove that they got the STD from the partner in question rather than someone else?

The biggest problem is that every case is different. Every murder, every rape, different circumstances were behind it. Saying every murderer or rapist deserves death is just ignorant.

For the guy that considers rape a lesser charge then murder, again, it depends on the circumstances, but... When someone is murdered, they are gone. They leave families to grieve the loss, but for them, it's over, they don't have to suffer. When someone is raped they are forced to live a life as a shell of who they once were, constantly being tortured by their own thoughts.

Anyway...

Do I believe in capitol punishment? Yes, if the circumstances deem it worthy.

I also believe in shooting someone robbing my house, and I don't mean aiming for the leg or whatever so they can survive, for what it's worth.

Do you believe that Rapists, Killers, Serial Killers, and Pedophiles should get the death sentence if found guilty in the court of law?

We need the death penalty for any of those crimes in america. I think america's brand of so called "justice" is twisted and flawed in so many ways. It's not the people's government anymore, it's the old fat judges government now.

Nah, even if they did kill, I don't think anymore that they deserve it themselves. Instead, they should go to jail. For life.
And torture.
If they plead death, then kill them.
