As far as I'm aware, the debate started long ago, among greek philosophers. Just sayin'.

Yeah, you can't talk about this without arguing, Jesus Christ. It's almost impossible.

Good point Flintlock but religion won for centuries by opressing science but little by little new discoveries undermined god, like the Earth was not the center of the universe or the age of the world according to geology but the Theory of Natural Selection first proposed by Charles Darwin was a final blow that led to advances in science and a decline in the Church's hold on the world.

I'll tell you this, I don't know if every "atheist" is pretty much arrogant or impious. Or if every christians live in any fairy tale world. Yet, I can't see why you people are like this towards God. I mean like one of the posters said, she believes because afterall she doesn't have anything to lose.

So I would respect everyones opinion in believing or not, if you wanna live in dependancy of a greater superior and have a life predestinated then thats fine, if you don't it's great too. Next time lets try to debate about something that has more probability of reaching into a solution.

Asking people what they believe tends to give out very opinionated answers and all that good stuff. No one is attacking you. This is the natural progression of how a topic like this goes.

However, I'll grant your wish because, as I know, in a hundred years the grand debate of "Does God Exist?" will be written in the history books as being solved on Southperry.net.
