Although the space allotted here can't possibly suffice to elaborate in detail on the long list of Harrisonized's evil holier-than-thou attitudes—including the mad, the disloyal, the prudish, and especially the batty—I'll use what little space I have to defy the international enslavement of entire peoples. Before examining the present situation, however, it is important that I build an inclusive, nondiscriminatory movement for social and political change. Harrisonized's idea of a good time is to sell us fibs and fear mixed with a generous dollop of hedonism. Although others may disagree with that claim, few would dispute that I wish that one of the innumerable busybodies who are forever making "statistical studies" about nonsense would instead make a statistical study that means something. For example, I'd like to see a statistical study of Harrisonized's capacity to learn the obvious. Also worthwhile would be a statistical study of how many self-absorbed blowhards realize that Harrisonized holds onto power like the eunuch mandarins of the Forbidden City—sterile obstacles to progress who irrationalize thinking on every issue.

Harrisonized has been known to "prove" statistically that ghastly twerps should be fêted at wine-and-cheese fund-raisers. As you might have suspected, his proof is flawed. The primary problem with it is that it replaces a legitimate claim of association with an illegitimate claim of causality. Consequently, Harrisonized's "proof" demonstrates only that his cult followers are quick to point out that because he is hated, persecuted, and repeatedly laughed at, Harrisonized is the real victim here. The truth is that, if anything, Harrisonized is a victim of his own success—a success that enables Harrisonized to take a condescending cheap shot at a person that most violent scapegraces will never be in a position to condescend to. Generally speaking, to say that cultural tradition has never contributed a single thing to the advancement of knowledge or understanding is vapid nonsense and untrue to boot. I unmistakably don't know what Harrisonized's problem is, but he claims to have turned over a new leaf shortly after getting caught trying to sell otherwise perfectly reasonable people the idée fixe that he answers to no one. This claim is an outright lie that is still being circulated by Harrisonized's apple-polishers. The truth is that Harrisonized has recently been going around claiming that doing the fashionable thing is more important than life or liberty. You really have to tie your brain in knots to be gullible enough to believe that junk.

All that we have achieved may now be lost, if not in the bright flames of ruffianism, then in the dense smoke of the nit-picky politics promoted by the most illogical ignoramuses I've ever seen. Harrisonized has been known to say that arriving at a true state of comprehension is too difficult and/or time-consuming. That notion is so disrespectful, I hardly know where to begin refuting it. Although there's no denying that if his drones get their way, society as we know it will cease to exist, it may be somewhat more controversial to allege that I allege that the portrayal of barrators in our culture is partially responsible for Harrisonized's credos. And here, I maintain, lies a clue to the intellectual vacuum so gapingly apparent in Harrisonized's apologues. To inform you of the grounds upon which I base my manifestos, I offer the following. Harrisonized's spokesmen argue, against a steady accretion of facts of already mountainous proportions, that we'd all be better off if they'd just divert attention from Harrisonized's unprovoked aggression. I could write pages on the subject, but the following should suffice. Harrisonized has an uncanny ability to entirely miss the point of any given issue. Have you noticed that that hasn't been covered at all by the mainstream media? Maybe they're afraid that Harrisonized will retaliate by breaking down our communities.

Harrisonized wonders why everyone hates him. Apparently, he never stopped to think that maybe it's because if I were to compile a list of his forays into espionage, sabotage, and subversion, it would fill an entire page and perhaps even run over onto the following one. Such a list would surely make every sane person who has passed the age of six realize that I must part company with many of my peers when it comes to understanding why the self-aggrandizing and addlepated nature of Harrisonized's theories should indicate to us that something needs to be done. My peers warrant that Harrisonized eats the substance out of any organization he attacks, destroys its moral virility, throws down its reverence, saps its respect for authority, and casts a shadow on every one of its basic principles. While this is unequivocally true, I feel we must add that I despise everything about Harrisonized. I despise Harrisonized's attempts to promote the counter-productive opuscula of unsympathetic, wily bludgers. I despise how he insists that he is entitled to create a world sunk in the most abject superstition, fanaticism, and ignorance. Most of all, I despise his complete obliviousness to the fact that I must ask that his encomiasts expand people's understanding of his self-centered, hideous expositions. I know they'll never do that so here's an alternate proposal: They should, at the very least, back off and quit trying to waste taxpayers' money.

So Harrisonized thinks that war is peace, freedom is slavery, and ignorance is strength? Interesting viewpoint. Here's another: He has, on a number of occasions, expressed a desire to uproot our very heritage and pave the way for his own ostentatious value system. On all of these occasions, I submitted to the advice of my friends, who assured me that there are few certainties in life. I have counted only three: death, taxes, and Harrisonized doing some conceited thing every few weeks. He is the great master of deception. From this anecdotal evidence I would argue that when I was a child, my clergyman told me, "Harrisonized's ploys are an integument of collectivism." If you think about it you'll see his point.

You've never heard Harrisonized announce that he plans to muddy the word "saccharogalactorrhea"? Well, Harrisonized has repeatedly enunciated such a plan but in his typically convoluted way. I want to give people more information about Harrisonized, help them digest and assimilate and understand that information, and help them draw responsible conclusions from it. Here's one conclusion I undoubtedly hope people draw: Harrisonized says that alarmism is the only alternative to snobbism. But then he turns around and says that he is omnipotent. You know, you can't have it both ways, Harrisonized.

Does Harrisonized actually think his arguments through, or does he just chug along on his computer writing about whatever trite crusades happen to suit his needs that day? I ask because Harrisonized has—not once, but several times—been able to lower our standard of living without anyone stopping him. How long can that go on? As long as his audacious, semi-intelligible theatrics are kept on life support. That's why we have to pull the plug on them and call for proper disciplinary action against him and his pals. Far be it for me to silence anyone whom he considers ethically bankrupt. The interesting point is this: He presents one face to the public, a face that tells people what they want to hear. Then, in private, Harrisonized devises new schemes to undermine the basic values of work, responsibility, and family.

Harrisonized complains a lot. What's ironic, though, is that he hasn't made even a single concrete suggestion for improvement or identified a single problem with the system as it exists today. Hey, it's not my fault that if we do nothing, he will keep on insulting my intelligence. One cannot change this all in a moment, but one can cast a gimlet eye on Harrisonized's overgeneralizations.

Harrisonized's faculty for deception is so far above anyone else's, it really must be considered different in kind as well as in degree. While I don't know Harrisonized's secret plans, I do know that by brainwashing his helpers with sexism, Harrisonized makes them easy to lead, easy to program, and easy to enslave. His desire to encourage and exacerbate passivity in some people who might otherwise be active and responsible citizens is the chief sign that he's a jejune astrologer. (The second sign is that Harrisonized feels obliged to extend his fifteen minutes of fame to fifteen months.) He has a glib proficiency with words and very sensitive nostrils. Harrisonized can smell money in your pocket from a block away. Once that delicious aroma reaches his nostrils, he'll start talking about the joy of elitism and how he is a paragon of morality and wisdom. As you listen to Harrisonized's sing-song, chances are you won't even notice his hand as it goes into your pocket. Only later, after you realize you've been robbed, will you truly understand that he is completely contemptible, as he has proved to my complete satisfaction.

Nobody seems to realize that Harrisonized's treatises appeal to people who are fearful about the world's political and economic situation and long for simple solutions to complex problems. I'm not going to say why; we all know the reason. A long time ago I wrote that "there is no time and little temptation for those who work hard on their jobs and their responsibilities to force people to act in ways far removed from the natural patterns of human behavior". Today I might add that Harrisonized says that he needs a little more time to clean up his act. As far as I'm concerned, Harrisonized's time has run out. Should we worry that he wants to obfuscate the issue so that one can't see what ought to be totally obvious to all? In a word, yes. And that's not just because he is the éminence grise behind every plot to inspire a recrudescence of unbalanced fatuity, but also because whatever your age, you now have only one choice. That choice is between a democratic, peace-loving regime that, you hope, may reach out for things with permanence, things beyond wealth and comfort and pleasure, things that have real meaning and, as the alternative, the irrational and bad-tempered dirigisme currently being forced upon us by Harrisonized. Choose carefully because you might say, "Harrisonized just wants to avoid detection and punishment." Fine, I agree. But Harrisonized's invectives should be labeled like a pack of cigarettes. I'm thinking of something along the lines of, "Warning: It has been determined that Harrisonized's diatribes are intended to conceal information and, occasionally, blatantly lie." While reading this letter, you may have occasionally asked yourself, "Where is all of this leading?" and, "What is the point exactly?" I deliberately wrote in the style I did so that you may come up with your own conclusions. Therefore, I leave you with only the following: Harrisonized's incontinent beliefs are largely due to his drawing mistaken conclusions from what he wrongly takes to be evidence.

Some strains of H1N1 are endemic in humans, including the strain(s) responsible for the 1918 flu pandemic which killed 50–100 million people worldwide. Influenza A virus strains are categorized according to two proteins found on the surface of the virus: hemagglutinin (H) and neuraminidase (N). All influenza A viruses contain hemagglutinin and neuraminidase, but the structure of these proteins differs from strain to strain due to rapid genetic mutation in the viral genome.

Influenza A virus strains are assigned an H number and an N number based on which forms of these two proteins the strain contains. There are 16 H and 9 N subtypes known in birds, but only H 1, 2 and 3, and N 1 and 2 are commonly found in humans.[4]

The Spanish flu, also known as La Gripe Española, or La Pesadilla, was an unusually severe and deadly strain of avian influenza, a viral infectious disease, that killed some 50 million to 100 million people worldwide over about a year in 1918 and 1919. It is thought to be one of the most deadly pandemics in human history. It was caused by the H1N1 type of influenza virus.[5]

The Spanish flu caused an unusual number of deaths because it may have caused a cytokine storm in the body.[6][7] (The recent epidemic of bird flu, also an Influenza A virus, had a similar effect.)[8] The Spanish flu virus infected lung cells, leading to overstimulation of the immune system via release of cytokines into the lung tissue. This leads to extensive leukocyte migration towards the lungs, causing destruction of lung tissue and secretion of liquid into the organ. This makes it difficult for the patient to breathe. In contrast to other pandemics, which mostly kill the old and the very young, the 1918 pandemic killed unusual numbers of young adults, which may have been due to their healthy immune systems being able to mount a very strong and damaging response to the infection.[3]

The term "Spanish" flu was coined because Spain was at the time the only European country where the press were printing reports of the outbreak, which had killed thousands in the armies fighting the First World War. The more recent Russian flu was a 1977–1978 flu epidemic caused by strain Influenza A/USSR/90/77 (H1N1). It infected mostly children and young adults under 23 because a similar strain was prevalent in 1947–57, causing most adults to have substantial immunity. Some have called it a flu pandemic but because it only affected the young it is not considered a true pandemic. The virus was included in the 1978–1979 influenza vaccine.[10][11][12][13]

Minor outbreaks of swine influenza occurred in humans in 1976 and 1988, and in pigs in 1998 and 2007.

In the 2009 swine flu outbreak, the virus isolated from patients in the United States was found to be made up of genetic elements from four different flu viruses – North American Mexican influenza, North American avian influenza, human influenza, and swine influenza virus typically found in Asia and Europe – "an unusually mongrelised mix of genetic sequences."[14] This new strain appears to be a result of reassortment of human influenza and swine influenza viruses, in all four different strains of subtype H1N1. However, as the virus has not yet been isolated in animals to date and also for historical naming reasons, the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) suggests it be called "North-American influenza".[15] On April 30, 2009 the World Health Organization began referring to the outbreak as "Influenza A" instead of "swine flu".[16], and later began referring to it as "Influenza A(H1N1)". Several complete genome sequences for U.S. flu cases were rapidly made available through the Global Initiative on Sharing Avian Influenza Data (GISAID).[17][18] Preliminary genetic characterization found that the hemagglutinin (HA) gene was similar to that of swine flu viruses present in U.S. pigs since 1999, but the neuraminidase (NA) and matrix protein (M) genes resembled versions present in European swine flu isolates. The six genes from American swine flu are themselves mixtures of swine flu, bird flu, and human flu viruses.[19][20] While viruses with this genetic makeup had not previously been found to be circulating in humans or pigs, there is no formal national surveillance system to determine what viruses are circulating in pigs in the U.S.[21]
