Jurassic World!
#21
The hybrid's name has been officially changed from Diabolous Rex to Indominous Rex (Fierce King)

I quite like the name change. I-Rex sounds better than D-Rex and avoids all the petty plantain jokes.

New trailer! A lot scarier than the last.

Also the T-rex is confirmed to be the same one from the first film.

Is it just me or the raptors are helping him hunt the I-Rex?

It's been confirmed for a while now that there will be trained raptors in the movie.

The videogame will feature all four films of the Jurassic Park franchise. This is something I will get on day 1.

On the official US site, it says that she has been living on Isla Nublar for the past 25 years (5 years from egg to fully grown adult, and then 20 years since the events of the first film)

The scars she has on her face and body are from the raptor attack at the end of the film.

As a Lego collector (these days) I can't wait to get my hands on the new game & the new Lego sets.

The Raptor pack looks so awesome and there might be a younger Raptor somewhere..around.

Just finished watching Jurassic world.

If i count is as the 4th movie i'd rank it:
1>>4>=2>>>>>>>>>>>watching paint dry>>>>>>3

I went in to see a movie about humanity's hubris and dinosaurs and i got exactly that.

The story and characters were whatever, but man the dinosaurs and the CG was great. If you're gonna watch it, go in and watch it for the dinosaurs.

Got to watch it just recently. I definitely rank 4 up with the original Jurassic Park in terms of how gud it was. Starlord continuing to rake in the dosh, and holy hell I loved the velociraptor group dynamic.

Amusingly, I've yet to watch 2 and 3. How much booze should I have with me when I get to watching 3 for the sake of being a completionist?

Chris Pratt's acting always seems off to me since my original impression of him as an actor is as Andy Dwyer in Parks and Rec. That being said, I fully acknowledge to myself that it's because of that that it seems weird to me. I think he did a great job and the movie was fantastic. It's also clearly set up for a sequel, I wonder how that will go (apparently he's already signed to contracts for it says my coworker, I dunno how true that is).

There were so many homages to the original movie, it was absolutely fantastic. Anyone who watched the original as a kid will thoroughly enjoy this one.

JP3 isn't THAT bad. As I said in an earlier post, it got a very bad rap because the story is terrible. It makes little sense and felt like a movie just to get more money off the IP. That being said, the action in the movie is fantastic, and overall it's a good action movie as long as you can ignore the terrible story. It includes a lot of the parts that were in the original books but were absent from the first two movies for whatever reason (like the bird cages). As long as you expect literally nothing from the story, you'll enjoy it. And sometimes summer blockbusters are literally only watched for the action so that decision is up to you.

Quote:With the film performing so well, and scoring some solid reviews too, EW naturally had to ask the movie's star Chris Pratt if he's signed up for further entries in the series.

His response was typical of Pratt - sincere, succinct, yet jokey: "I am. They have me for I think 38 movies or something." Pratt himself has taken to social media in recent days to thank fans for the great reception to the film.

I liked it a lot. I am looking foward to seeing the next installments in the franchise, with all that set up for a follow up movie in this one.
