A E Design

Of course I'm going to make it seem like my non-professional work here is great. But it's only as great for those who cannot tell my flaws. I know exactly what is wrong with my design, (because there is always something wrong with any design or else design wouldn't be a profession) but I don't think I need to point the bad points out. I think it would be incredibly selfish of me to have said "Eh my work isn't great.. but take a look anyways" because that would be implying "TELL MEH IM GOOD PLEASSEEE". I'm not in need of anymore ego boosts lol.

That's something you do if you want clients and have a portfolio of any sort. Maybe it's just me, but it seems slightly inappropriate here... Have you already done any work with clients? Even if your in the middle of school its best to get client experience ASAP otherwise you might be kicking yourself if you don't know what to do.

I've had a few clients during the 07/08 year. A few were nice, easy to get along with, others were a bit more difficult. I'm finding it to be a bit harder for a student to get experience with clients though. Because I feel that very few of my works within the past 2-3 years are actually portfolio worthy. I'm minoring in communication design which I hope will help me but I'm also thinking about doing Business Management (don't know how much that will actually help though..)

From a designer to a designer, I say good luck. It's good to see somebody specialising in typography so early into their career. I'm still iffy about typography and i've been designing for 7 years.

Typography is really difficult.. I'm not good at it at all ;x Hopefully I get better after this year though.

The last thing I am is an artist- I'm a designer. Plus, it's how I sign my work on the back with my initials, "a" and "e".

Just thought I'd let you know that I'm in the final stage of the first logo. I generally render 3+ logos and present them all to my clients. I'll inform you of further details.

I'm inlove with your panda tatoo. Do you mind if I print it out and place it on one of my books or something along the lines? I reeeeeeeeally love it and feel the urge to spam it on my stuff. @_@

I see your flaws as well, but I have to admit your stuff is really good. I'd like to see more though, just less typography.
