Auto-Save is Off
#1
For some reason it appears to have been one of the causes of the rampant duplicate posts we're seeing.

A simple experiment of leaving an editor open long enough to trigger autosave confirmed that when hitting submit you got a post per autosave, even though they all said the same thing.

Since it's value was minimal and it's nuisance great, it's gone.

What did the autosave function do anyway btw? Could you leave the page and was it stored somewhere somehow?

I never really understood this! Tongue

If you were in the middle of a novel and accidentally closed or navigated elsewhere you could come back and as long as you clicked exactly the way you had before ( quick reply to same person, quick general reply, whichever) it'd reload what you had been working on when you last autosaved.

Work-around - copy anything you spent a lot of time on to your clipboard before posting.

I like how the first two posts are a prime example of exactly what you were trying to fix. Rolleyes

Wasn't on purpose, but I'll try clearing my cookies.

I actually used this pretty often but the Lazarus add-on for firefox does the same thing anyway.

I wonder if this was giving me those "quick reply window" problems.

As near I can tell there are at least three other conflicts out there still.
