Had to change the title it was "Nexon in the News -- January 3-9, 2010" seems misleading as they are not on fox, nbc, msnbc, etc Its just game site reviews.

Nexon Wrote:Last week was a good one as Nexon’s games continue to make a splash in the news. The announcement of PopTag! made some waves and our other games continue to dominate the end of the year “Best of” lists. Check out what the press is saying about Nexon games lately!

PopTag!

Warcry

“I'm proudly introducing the best casual game that Nexon has created. I hope you all can enjoy the various and rich contents that PopTag! has to offer and get lost in simple but frantic gameplay.”

NeoSeeker

“We are releasing hundreds of decorative items and functional items at launch. Functional items such as the needle or dart will help you survive frantic water balloon battles. Additionally there are many decorative items to help personalize your character. ”

Combat Arms

Co-Optimus

“That being said I found it incredibly addictive to continue playing to earn more credits to actually buy the stuff I wanted. Instead of something like Modern Warfare 2 where you just get unlocks, which you still do get in Combat Arms, you are actually given more of a choice of what you want for just about anything.”

MapleStory/Mabinogi

"Top 20 Free-to-play MMORPGs"

#3 MapleStory: "It's easy to see why MapleStory continues to be one of the most successful free-to-play games out there..."

#9 Mabinogi: For those wanting to explore more at their leisure and soak in the life of a world, Mabinogi is a great first stop."

Sorry this is not one of those announcements that are breathtaking.

Out of curiosity, how many of these web sites are you guys familiar with? I believe I've heard of NeoSeeker in the past.

It WOULD be something had it come from a pretty well known gaming site like IGN.

If this was IGN, Game Informer, or anything else that's actually valid, I'd care. Ok, NeoSeeker is one. But that's one. NeoSeeker isn't even highly used anyways. Goddamn. If it was rated by GameFAQs or IGN, I would be slightly more convinced.

I'm familiar with only neoseeker from that list, but more or less because it's the only other forum I frequent. Been a member there since '06 and have something like 11,000 posts. Love that place.

Read the neoseeker article a couple days back, pointing out some of the more laughable bits of nexon-ism from it:

"Nexon: Some items might be limited by level to purchase with NX credit. This is done primarily to preserve game balance and protect players from abusers."

"but we are very receptive to player feedback so nothing is ruled out entirely."
