A little help with conflicting information on Empress's Grace

I have a Mihile I recently got up to 4th job, and I received the Empress's Grace quest. It tells me to go kill Rashes for peridots. So I do this for awhile, and don't see any. Looking up some information, it seems the quest has changed a few times over the years. Some people are saying I need ten, and some are saying I need five. The worrying thing is that I am also seeing that pretty much everyone is saying I want to take out Harps rather than Rashes. And also it takes forever for the peridots to drop.

So, who am I supposed to beat up for these things, and is the payoff worth the apparent hours this is going to take?

Harps for Cygnus, Rashes for Mihile is how it goes I believe. If you don't want to make an ultimate adventurer then don't bother with the quest, I'm not sure if there are any quests that have it as a prereq. 5 peridots, not 10.

Now to establish an over/under on how many days this will take.

The last time I did it, I believe it took me three days playing 8 hours a day or something, but you also needed 10 peridots last time I did it.

I think I got harps too.

When they changed Job Advancement levels, they changed Mikhail's Ultimate Adventurer quest from Harps to Rashes since he advanced to 4th job at 100 rather than 120.

The Cygnus version of the quest allows you to do either Harps or Blood Harps, and much like that, the Mikhail version is either Rashes or Dark Rashes, at least, I'm pretty sure.
