He's getting hit. When you take damage, the numbers are purple. You can see purple numbers. Therefore, he's getting hit.

He did get hit. It was a bit hard to see because there's so many numbers and because he'd drain most/all the damage back almost immediately, but he was getting hit.

With Stance and Drain it's pretty damn close to invincible.
