So this video takes place even before the Altair Camp, which is strange because I thought they came from Ossyria. Where is Mrs. Ming Ming in the Altair Camp? How did Helena know what Victoria Island was it was unpopulated before Sharen the 3rd ruled the island? Where is their ship in the Altair Camp? How was the forest outside the Altair Camp poisoned if the Black Magician was sealed away? How did Ellin come? There are too many questions and possibilities now. I really want Korea to devise some answers and make a storyline in the Altair Camp, because right now all the NPC's seem to be lost in time. And where did the representatives of the jobs come from? It's really neat to see the ancient Lienne/Rien burning.

Thanks a lot Regi for the translations. Now a lot of things make a lot more sense.

I'm wondering about the order of events as well... And is "Helena" a straight translation of the NPC, or are we just using the GMS name now? (Or was Athena what we changed in the first place? I'm sorta confused.)

I think it's talking about adventurers. Look in the scene where they're fighting the black magician; you can see a girl with a wand and one with a bow.

Well adventurers are mainly the present aren't they? And even if they weren't there'd be many of them. The translation says 5 heroes and then goes on to say that the Aran is a hero. so that's 1 out of 5. I was just thinking that if there were 4 more, 1 for each class there could be different races out there that only handle 1 weapon, like the Aran do.

Not really much I can say that no one else has. It's really epic, blah blah blah. That would be funny if you somehow were able to kill yourself while fighting monsters. 1. Probably just some ancestor that looks similar to Mrs. Ming Ming. It's pretty easy to answer. I mean, they picked NPCs that were deliberately similar to existing NPCs to emphasize the fact that they are moving to the future Victoria Island.
2. Victoria Island and Ossyria were once connected. You know the huge bay where Ludi is now? That's where Victoria broke off from ages ago. This was stated in a new maple Island quest so you may not be aware of it. These people seem to be fleeing from mainland Ossyria to the newly broken off Victoria to escape the Black Magician.
3. We don't know much of anything about when Sharenian was compared to Altair; it could have been thousands of years before or thousands of years after. The only real hint we have is that there are some rocky areas at the edge of altair, which implies that Sharenian already fell, but it's far from conclusive.
4. Altair is probably a bit further inland, so the ship would still be on the coast. Or maybe they took it apart to build the camp and hide their location.
5. The forest was poisoned by a follower of the Black Magician then. Ellin merely speculates that the poisoning is due to the Black Magician, though she did spot a black cloaked figure. Ellin was likely a native of the Victoria Island region when it was on Ossyria. There have certainly been numerous instances of people trying to awaken the Black Magician (Kirstun, who summoned Pink Bean, was trying to revive the Black Magician, but failed) so this isn't the first time. Though, I think that even though his power may be sealed he still has some means of communicating his will to his followers.

Gosh, there's so many more. I really do hope Korea devises a plot line for the Altair Camp because as I said earlier, it seems as if they are all frozen in time (the NPC's). It's almost like they don't realize we're there because we can't communicate with them.

Minor nitpick. I see what you mean here, but I was confused for a little bit.

How did this video come about? Is it an in-game tutorial, or something? :f6:

When you create an Aran character, you end up in the first map in the video.

I think that the Aran race isn't an actual race, but just the name of the hero. The character name would just be a name you chose because you even forgot who you are. It also seems that we're getting 4 more "heroes" (other people fighting in the video?). I really hope it's not going to be another bow/claw/knuckle/sword thing.

Small summary of what I think that happened:
-Hero(Aran) is wounded and has to save a child.
-Aran does the typical stubborn hero thing ("I stay here and fight!").
-Aran is cursed and frozen. (I think Rien used to be like Leafre.)
-The girl finds you and brings you to the village, and all the penguins start shouting once they see who you are.

I wonder if they make Athena Pierce recognise you...
