Meso Explosion Blues. - Outland - 2009-04-03 To start off, these were my original obvservations. Outland Wrote:Monsters used - Indigo Eyes and Crystal Boars I decided to test Devil's statement. Devil Wrote:Meso Explosion: I also read through Xaile's thread about M.E. on SW. (from November 2006) http://www.sleepywood.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1123055 First thing I learned, the last five bags of mesos still don't do damage to a monster. I tested this by seperating fifteen bags and five bags and exploding both while one monster was on the five and another on the fifteen. The one on the five bags received no damage. Second thing I learned is, the amount of the last five mesos, #16-20, does make a difference. These are the damages I saw- Fifteen x Amount with drops #16-20 as 10 Mesos : Damage 1ks: 10k-16k 5ks: 35k-45k 50ks: 50k-75k Fifteen x Amount with drops #16-20 as 50k Mesos : Damage 1ks: 15k-20k 5ks: 45k-62k 50ks: 93k-132k Fifteen 10 mesos with #16-20 as 50ks : Damage 10mesos : 700-900 At^ - I wanted to be sure that the last five meso bags weren't really doing damage, but were still adding to the damage of mesos #1-15. I then decided to test the "Most effective damage" on Bigfoot. Three Bigfoot were used. Each started at full HP. (32m HP) Bigfoot #1: 15x 8ks + 5x 10 Mesos. Total amount used: 8.2m Mesos. Bigfoot #2: All 8ks Mesos. Total amount used: 9m Mesos. Bigfoot #3: All 5ks Mesos. Total amount used: 7m Mesos. *This leads me to ask, what do you personally consider the "most effective" mesos/damage? I use 5ks. A friend uses 3ks. Another friend is too pro for M.E. now. Mejust Wrote:If you explode more than one bags, there's a damage multiplier in effect which goes up to 1.5 after some bags. I don't know after how many bags that is, though.I would like to request a Meso Explosion Damage Formula if possible. I don't know why I wasted so much mesos for this. It seems like nobody uses M.E. past Lv105. Meso Explosion Blues. - Mejust - 2009-04-04 No ME damage formula is known to me. As far as I know, the damage formula has not been found and is too big/made up of too many variables to accurately construct. Meso Explosion Blues. - Outland - 2009-04-04 I think SpiraeaKozak on SW might be right, or atleast close. I'm just not sure if this would be considered outdated or inaccurate info. Anyways, this is what SpiraeaKozak had posted as a formula. http://www.sleepywood.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1123055&page=9 Quote:Meso Explosion works in a wierd way. The damage of a set of mesos that is exploded is as follows: I guess this is as far it goes. Meso Explosion Blues. - Dusk - 2009-04-04 I'm pretty sure the best damage/mesos ratio is at 1 meso and it scales down from there. Meso Explosion Blues. - Mejust - 2009-04-05 Dusk Wrote:I'm pretty sure the best damage/mesos ratio is at 1 meso and it scales down from there. That's actually a confirmed fact. If you drop 10 mesos and explode it with lvl1 ME, you'll have a damage multiplier of 7x for min till 15x for max. If you drop 50k and explode it with lvl1 ME, you'll have a damage multiplier of less than 1, but that's only a guess based on the few explosions I did with those bags. In the end ME will be out-shadowed on bosses by assassinate/BS, but it is still probably the higher damage dealer until 140+. I wouldn't say that nobody uses it past 105 (people still ME gobies/Himes through 12x) as even I still do (MEing HT legs, and for kicks and giggles of course), but it definitely is not as good anymore. As said above, there are so many variables that it is hard to find an exact formula. |
