FOUNTAIN COUNTY, Ind. -- A couple who ran a baby-sitting service out of their home videotaped themselves performing sex acts with children, some as young as 2 months old, police said on Friday.
Stephen E. Quick, 31, and Samantha Light, 25, both of Veedersburg, Ind., were arrested on March 5 after a girl told her mother that the couple had touched her inappropriately and photographed her while she was being baby-sat at their home on Feb. 28.
"I asked her if they were just helping her in the bathroom and she said, 'No mommy, they took pictures," the girl's mother, who wanted to remain anonymous, told Indianapolis television station WRTV.
Deputies seized several computers, cameras, a video camera, pornographic materials, drugs and drug paraphernalia during an initial search of the couple's home, Fountain County Sheriff's Department Deputy Bob Kemp said.
"In 15 years of doing this job, it's the worst thing I've ever seen or imagined," Kemp said. "Just horrible, just horrible. It's a new low."
Authorities also found a videotape that showed several sexual acts involving both Quick and Light and at least four different children between the ages of 2 months and 6 years old, Kemp said.
Several sex toys that appeared in the video were seized during a second search of the couple's residence, police said.
Light was later arrested at the home, while Quick was arrested at his work.
Former family members of Light said they were shocked by the accusations. They described her as intelligent and controlling.
"It makes me want to cry reading that stuff because those children, those poor children. And that little baby that had no idea what was happening to it," the woman, who did not want to be identified, said.
Neither Light nor Quick has a criminal history.
The mother of the 3-year-old girl said she wants them to be put in prison for life.
"The damage they have done to these young children is going to affect them for the rest of their lives. And there's no taking back what has happened already," she said. "All they can do is make sure that it never happens again."
Quick was preliminarily charged with three counts of child molestation and one count of child exploitation. Light faces four counts of child molestation and one count of child exploitation.
Light and Quick's daughter has been removed from the home.

I hate the ridiculous hyperbole of "The damage they have done to these young children is going to affect them for the rest of their lives. ". Nobody remembers things that happened to them when they were 2. The only way they will is if somebody tells them about it later, and makes a big deal of how horrible it was. The best thing is to just forget about it and make sure it doesn't happen again. Like they said, the baby has no idea what happened to it. Don't fucking tell it you assholes.

This is true, but no one cares about the damage done to them after they grow up. we care about what happend to them now.

I really don't know. I don't completely remember EVERYTHING but I remember about 70% of it.

Nope. I don't. I remember explicit things such as my first day of pre-school when I was 3 and sitting on the beach in December in Tampa with a winter coat on because it was 30 degrees outside.

Even if they won't remember it, it will still affect them. I don't like how the media makes this "effect" grossly exaggerated however.

this is only a cursory glance (i have not been discriminative) and there is probably a lot more to be addressed, trust you will be able to cite such references. hope this reveals a bit more about the situation you described.
edit: would like to add that the person who said the abuse would affect them for the rest of their lives was a mother of a 3 year old. most females report earliest memories around age 2-3, varies a bit.

abuse and child abuse happens so much more often, with so many more after-effects, than most people realise.
cannot understand how else something can suddenly hit the news and people can think gosh those people are disgusting deviant examples of humanity, and meanwhile in the next breath people can joke about "pedobear" or "rape!"ing other people. you'd think they thought sexual abuse was rare, or entertaining, or something.

A joke is just a joke. Successful stand up comedians joke about racism, sexism, bigotry, and stereotypes -all the time- and people laugh at it. That's doesn't mean that they're racist, sexist, bigot or skeptics. You can tell friends that you're gonna rape them but that doesn't mean you're actually gonna do it.

You've obviously never been to 4chan, but that's probably a good thing.
I don't think a 2 year old child can remember much, but children in general are very vulnerable and abusing them like that is very bad. I don't like the fact that the media PREFER sick $hit on their programmes, but that doesn't mean the crime itself is any less heinous.
It's curious that in prison there is a huge prejudice against stuff like this. Of course it's a good thing that these two will probably end up with a broomstick in their ear, but I don't see how murdering 3 people in a liquor store is "less" heinous.
