Help Needed!
I need help with training spots for 3rd and 4th Jobbers of any class (Birks, Skeles, Wyverns, other Leafre/Aqua/Ludi stuffs). It'll also help if you use a map and draw in the path to train, esp. if the map is real big and complicated!

Note: Link to this guide if needed. Although, every time you post this somewhere else besides Basil without my permission, a kitten dies. THINK OF THE KITTENS!

-are in need of 4th job training spots, and some 3rd job ones- If you PM me with help, make sure the subject is related to this guide

Copied and pasted from MY OWN guide on Basil (just in case some idiot calls me out for plagiarizing).

Yes, it's incomplete. I'm usually either waiting for people to send me stuff to add, or just too lazy to do it Smile

Uh.. soz for double post, but..

are there any header-like functions on here? o.0

Comprehensive Guide to Training - Stereo - 2008-07-10

I wouldn't recommend Vikings or Wolf Spiders to a WK as a training spot at all, and Gobies aren't much good either until 4th job. I'd mark Dual Pirates up to level 100, maybe even 110, cause they're very good for money compared to anything in Leafre. Red Wyverns are good as a 100+ WK with maxed Ice Charge, though you may get KSed a bit by Ice Arch Mages.

Himes are ok but you're pretty much the 5th leg on the party, you can't do much damage and you have poor attacking range. Find a friendly bishop and leech the hell out of 100-125, if possible. Once you get Holy Charge Paladins are decent here.

As a DK, I use Roar at Wolf Spiders to lure the top 2 legs, thus avoiding going up to them at all.

This results in 5 points of attack (plus clearing out odds and ends on that middle platform):
Bottom middle: obviously (both bottom legs feed into here automatically, so don't bother even killing on those)
left/right middle legs: Use the fires to warp up to the outer part, lure them toward the middle and kill. As you travel down, cast Roar a couple times to aggro the monsters in the top legs.
left/right top legs: Stay outside the warp, just kill through the wall.

In order I generally go bottom, left middle, right middle, , repeat.

Easily 30-40% per hour with Fury from 75-90, and I earned a profit before selling the valuable drops (ilbis).

I'd say in 4th job it really depends whether or not you can at least 2hko any of the bigger monsters with your 4th job skills.

With that said, I believe to my knowledge that (hybrid and PA, dunno about spear) Drks should remain at himes until they can 2hko Skelegons or Newties/Golems with their Crushers, Berserk included. If you can't 2hko those monsters, don't bother trying to train there because you'll be too slow compared to the other classes (i.e. HB mule).

Im not trying to brag or show off or whatnot but from personal experience, adding pictures would make the guide a lot nicer/easier to read. A lot of people liked the format I used in my Archer's where to train guide so perhaps you can take a similar approach (color code it, get pictures of yourself on the maps, etc).

Personally, its pretty detailed though there seems to be a very limited number of spots (especially in the lower level ranges. However, you say you'll add on when people suggest them so that's okay I guess) but overall, its good and has potential.

In terms of clarity, I would agree. I know several guides that have posted images of the maps and boxed out and arrowed where to go in training, and it's helped quite a bit. There's no rush, though. However, I'd love to see the [header] code cleared up and some emphasis on the main titles to separate things out soon, the wall of text makes my head kind of hurt and makes me want to tl;dr it.

I never found the jr kitties to be good for a warrior, they just never mobbed well enough for me.

Like what I did for FoG/Griffs/etc?

I can do more during my spare time :/

Although, IMO, there's a more limited number of spots in the higher-levels

Ugh. So i'm stuck at Duals till 100 eh? Bummer.

Comprehensive Guide to Training - Stereo - 2008-07-10

Duals are pretty similar to Kentaurs, I preferred Duals because they don't use magic attacks on melee characters, but Red Kentaurs would be ok if you had ice before 100 (I didn't max ice until 110...)

Comprehensive Guide to Training - aznegglover - 2008-07-10

Gobies aren't good 'til 4th?

But didn't 10x-ish people used to train there before Himes and Leafre or something?

-confyoozhun-

Comprehensive Guide to Training - Germ - 2008-07-10

I got Fire first and i'm getting Ice now. I'm kinda regretting not going CB now though if i'm gonna be at Duals for that long. Did Germo make a boo-boo?

Not being good till 4th was talking about WK's / Paladins, not Sader / Hero or DK / DrK

Comprehensive Guide to Training - Hana - 2008-07-10

DKs can do well at wolf spiders with a priest at early levels.

Comprehensive Guide to Training - HiiEN - 2008-07-11

I heard Ariant was good in the lower levels, I just never had the chance to train on them lol. I'm assuming you're leaving PQ's out on purpose, too.

That's good but I wonder, why link the pic when you can post it directly (or rather, just post it in another spoiler?)

Here's the link to my guide: http://www.southperry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=31

If you noticed, I took the time to manually go visit each map and take a screenshot of every monster on the guide (or almost anyways... there's one or two missing here and there) and I linked to a hidden-street map system so that people can learn how to get to a given place if need be.

Here's an excerpt if you're too lazy to visit the guide xD:

Not too sure.. although imo, linking to the images looks a lot neater =x

Edit: @Hienn: Yea, I left PQs out on purpose. Uh.. what Ariant maps are good for Warriors?

Comprehensive Guide to Training - Zaotsu - 2008-07-11

I think linking to the map is better than posting you at the training spot; I see the latter as unnecessary images that have to load. Generally you don't have maps where you only train on specific things that spawn there, so why would you need them besides to please the eye? Formatting, I agree, could look make the first post look better. I just think pictures would create unnecessary clutter.

Comprehensive Guide to Training - Germ - 2008-07-11

What I would like is videos to see the best way to handle the spawn at the map. But even then i'd only do that at a monster that one would stay 20+ levels on. For example Duals. And I recall someone making a video guide on the most efficient ways to clean those to. Pictures aren't really neccesary for warriors.

Ooh, that WOULD help.

I can't really do it myself.. (level 75, Dragon Knight.. not good for Duals, etcetc), so.. does anyone wanna do it in my stead? Big Grin
