My School Bus got electrocuted. - Erich - 2009-02-12
The Story: We leave school, everythings k, untill just barely down the road, maybe 1 minute from the school, and we see bright blue lights on the side of the road, and a roaring Bzzt. Yep, the powerlines electrocuted the bus. 2 trees were resting on the powerlines, and our driver was zapped, nothing too serious. We had to pull up the road a bit, and make a call to the bus dispatcher. We were the first ones to see it/get attacked by it. Cars are passing by, unaware of the death they could face. It sparked every so often, sending flames throughout the air. This litterally seemed like a nightmare, everyone was scared. The road was closed, we sat there untill the EMT checked out our driver, and eventually, we hopped on another bus as soon as the CL&P workers were on it (Connecticut light and power). we headed back to our school, and whoever wasnt picked up was shuffled back to the Elementary School, where we got a mini-bus to drop us off.
All in all, that was fucking scary. REALLY scary.

What happened is it was already on the ground, it arced from the open end of the wire to the side of the bus.
