Regarding today's December 22 scheduled maintenance, we would like to provide an update on a few items as follows.

1. Issue with Absolab and Arcane Umbra Weapon/Armor Box Drop Rate in Heroic Worlds

We confirmed an issue where the drop rate for Absolab and Arcane Umbra Weapon/Armor boxes in Heroic Worlds was unintentionally decreased after the v264 update.

This issue has been resolved through today's maintenance, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused to your gameplay experience.

As compensation, a drop rate increase event will be held for the affected Heroic Worlds as follows:

• Event Details:
  
  • A 1.5x drop rate will be applied to Absolab and Arcane Umbra Weapon/Armor Boxes.

  • December 22, 2025 (After Maintenance) - February 4, 2026 (Before Maintenance)
    
• Applied Worlds:
  
  • NA Heroic, NA Challenger Heroic
    
    
  • EU Heroic, EU Challenger Heroic
    

2. Items with Abnormal Stat Option

We also investigated reports regarding the existence of items with abnormal stat options. Through this investigation, we confirmed that only an extremely small number of such items were created through illegitimate methods. The player involved has been permanently banned, and the affected items have been removed from the game.

Exploiting illegitimate methods is an absolutely unacceptable act that threatens the game's economy and fair-play environment. Going forward, MapleStory will strengthen its monitoring efforts and take firm, decisive action against all forms of illicit play to do our best to create a trustworthy game environment.

Additionally, as part of our overall service status checks, we conducted a thorough review of the Star Force enhancement system, which we know is an area of great interest for many players. Based on our internal investigations, we have clearly confirmed that all settings and values related to Star Force enhancement are functioning as intended and designed.

MapleStory will continue to build a trustworthy service for our players.
