For today's edition of What's Your MapleStory, we spoke to Krate about their journey through MapleStory!

How long have you been playing MapleStory?

Hello everyone, my IGN as you can see is Krate, and I got it from the DJ group "Keys N Krates" LOL. I've been playing MapleStory since the pre-Big Bang update, around 2007-08. At this time, I remember I had to delete my character because I had this quest from Chief Stan to deliver a message all the way to Omega Sector, but since my character was low leveled at the time, my character couldn't climb the tall tower up to Ludibrium, so I had to delete my character and start over... I was still in South Korea at the time, so I believe I started playing GMS around 2010-11.



Who's your favorite class, and why?

My current main is a Luminous, but my personal favorite class would be Phantom. The concept of a character throwing cards and stealing skills from other jobs looked very fascinating, which was why Phantom was my main back then when I used to play Interactive servers.

What is your favorite memory while playing MapleStory?

If I had to choose some memories from playing MapleStory, one of them would be using Dark Sight as a low-level thief and exploring high-level areas back then when I was a kid. The BGM was different, and the monsters looked really scary. I remember getting the adrenaline rush even though it was just MapleStory LOL. Another one would be eye shopping through the Free Market back in the day in Interactive servers. I loved seeing these crazy items on the market for a capped meso price, thinking, "What if...?" LOL.

One other memory would be me giving up on one of my permanent friendship rings to move to a different world when the first world leap event was here in GMS. I believe the friend I shared the ring with at the time had already quit the game, so I ended up leaving the world we were in together, but later on, I got a message saying, "Oh, you left me with the ring." HAHAHA. Funny enough, we're still friends outside of the game and still talk to each other.
