For today's edition of What's Your MapleStory, we spoke to SirDavis about their journey through MapleStory!

How long have you been playing MapleStory?

Halo, Apa Kabar? My name is SirDavis and I've been playing MapleStory shortly right after BETA. I only remembered because I was so jealous with peeps that had beta mark bandana that they were rocking. I came back around COVID because DUH boredom and also heard that 5th Job was being released. I met a lot of people, some good/helpful and now I found my community/guild, WHIMSY. Back then I played in Bera as an Archmage (Ice/Lightning) and got to about lvl 92 before quitting because of college. I was about maybe 12? Girl, I was so young going to Target buying NX scratch offs for NX Cash.



Who's your favorite class, and why?

My favorite class really depends on my mood and vibes but back then I was an I/L and now my main is currently an I/L (that’s what we call consistency PERIOD). I just really like grinding and bossing with the class. It has lazy farming, slows some bosses, and the aesthetics are just so cool compared to the other archmages especially all my haters who wanted me to job change to Bishop.

What is your favorite memory while playing MapleStory?

One of my strongest memories throughout my years playing Maple honestly is finding such a strong LGBTQ+ community. Being one of the founding members of my current guild, WHIMSY has been such a wonderful experience. Creating a safe space for everyone to be themselves and feel safe to share whether that’s about Maple or real life. I'm so glad that I'm able to find online friends that I can relate with and also call some of them sisters and hang in real life! Our guild would host movies/games nights and play different games to take a break sometime. We sometimes even just join VC, listen to music, WAP and yap about our daily lives and if you know me, I'm a YAPPER so I'm glad there are people who want to listen to lil crazy ol me.
