Knights of Cygnus Skill Tables - IsaacGS - 2009-01-13

Upon implementation, to create a Knight of Cygnus, you will select "Create New Character." Now, instead of going straight to the Character Creation menu, you will be presented with the "Race Select" screen. Here, it will give you a summary of the benefits and weaknesses of both the Knights of Cygnus and the "Adventurers", the term for the original 5 classes. Basically, Cygnus get powerful faster, but they hit their maximum level quickly since it is much lower. Adventurers get powerful at a slower rate, but due to 4th job and a higher maximum level, they end up being much more powerful in the long run.

Once you select that you wish to create a Cygnus, you will see a modified version of the standard Character Creation screen (Ereb-themed instead of Ellinia.) By default, Cygnus have a pale skin tone, though this may change in GMS since skin tone selection is not possible at all in KMS. Once the character is created, it will appear in a Tutorial section of Ereb, just like Maple Island's Tutorial. From here, things proceed normally.

This is the first version. I will be adding on to it until it's complete and then continually updating it afterward with KMST changes.

Knights of Cygnus Skill Tables - IsaacGS - 2009-01-14

Knights of Cygnus Skill Tables, first revision, are complete. Big Thanks to Fiel for helping me understand Skill data, ZYXWVUT for translating the patches (and by extension Skill descriptions.), and Southperry's IRC regulars for describing how the skills I'm unfamiliar with work in game.

You may use these skill tables when working on guides and skill builds, but please, cite Southperry.net as the source!

Nice, good work man, ive been waiting for this topic Big Grin

edit: the title of the Striker post (the uber yellow color) hurts my eyes a bit, might just be me though Tongue

Knights of Cygnus Skill Tables - aku_hitsuji - 2009-01-14

This is a very nice addition to Fiel's extractions.
It'll help a lot of peple in creating skillbuilds etc. (I know it'll help me anywaysCool)
Hope to see the 2nd and 3rd jobs soon^^
keep up the good work IsaacGlitter!

Well that sucks, you can't max Power Strike, Slash Blast, and the Sprite in 1st job unless you want to give up HP. Cygnus chars gain 3 SP per level, right?

Similar things with other jobs, it actually forces you to make a decision between certain skills - archers can't max Double Shot and the Sprite unless they want to give up range or Crit.

How useful is the Sprite, would you say?

They only get 3 SP yeah.

Personally I find the sprite to be incredibly useful at lower levels but it quickly becomes less and less useful as you level.

Yeah, this is pretty much it. I think warriors can easily pass on the sprite because it's main advantage is that it serves as a mob attack for low levels that don't pick up mob skills until 2nd. For my windbreaker, I maxed Eye, DS, Critical, and 13 Sprite. This seems to me to be the best build. You could also do 10 focus and 3 sprite, but we all know archers don't need that accuracy and you've already got more dex than usual anyway. Even at upper 5x my sprite's only doing about 300 damage, I mostly keep it out for those boosts mentioned up there. For windbreakers, given how close you need to be for Storm Breath, I think the wind sprite's summon is more useful than you'd imagine. for NWs, same thing; right in the fray with Vampire, so their summons are actually getting to attack.

How frequently does sprite attack? Is it every couple of seconds like other summons? it may be worthwhile for Melee-ers since they're already up in the monster's face all the time.

Ill probably go striker, since im too lazy to level a brawler, but still want the experience.

Now they just need to make more Lightning weak mobs.

Great job on the tables =O

See, that's the thing though lol. The main attack skill for Soul Masters in 2nd job is going to be Soul Blade, and that's hitting from a further range than what Windbreakers and Nightwalkers will be doing in second. Cygnus are really backwards in that respect.

Knights of Cygnus Skill Tables - Dusk - 2009-01-14

So I guess for archers it's a choice between 20 Avoid or 10 more Weapon Defense and Magic defense and easier training in 1st job (if you actually need it as a Cygnus character).

Can't decide between flame wizard, soul master, and windbreaker.

So, Its OK to use these tables for Guides and such? I'll give full credit, of course.

yeah, when it's done you can treat it in the same as Fiel's. I'd prefer you didn't start using it until it's finished though lol.

Actually, since Windbreakers don't have Arrow Bomb or Iron Arrow...does their mob skill activate FA? If not FA may actually be worth it.

For Windbreakers FA only works with Double Shot. Makes it a pretty dumb skill really. You'll be using strafe/hurricane 70+, and until 70 you'll be mobbing with Storm Breath. I hardly ever use DS. Seems like a total waste to me.
