Honestly, if I could choose between the hackers having Horntail or our "finest" guild, I would choose the hackers. I'd rather no one got ANYTHING than that guild getting it all.

just a theory, hope nexon will read it:
lets take minimum amounts here, lets say like 1% of the people that quit maplestory over the last year quit for the reasons that nexon doesnt do shyt about hackers ruining their game (ofc 1% is very low).
lets say they make 20$ from each of those players, which they now dont earn anymore, thats hella lot of money see'ing maplestory has, accourding to nexon, millions of players, 1% of the ppl that quit last year is still hella lot of people and thus money.
now lets say nexon took a random hobo off the streets and put him behind a pc with the only job to bann hackers on a gm account (or any other guy without a diploma, cause most gm's atm are gm+ have another function within the company leaving less/no time for actually being active ingame), let the nobo just visit known hacker maps (including ht) and just kick the bad guys' nuts.
that single hobo would be able to make nexon earn thousands of dollars more, and see'ing the game community would be happier we would all spend more because we play more. even more proffit $.$
i know the hobo would have to pull a few allnighters at first to catch up with the hacker amounts but once the hackers notice they constantly get banned at least once per few days they will soon stop hacking since it isnt as proffitable anymore.
anyways, goodjob hobo, go kill more hackers

From what I've seen, a lot of the people using the hacks recently have been characters all ready started, and trained normally until recently, and most likely having the nx from before they started hacking.

If this is their "Fight back", then they're losing... by a long shot. Hackers are still everywhere and we really have no idea when they'll act...
As for hackers spending money on nx, many are meso sellers and in it for profit:
1. Hacker at Wolf Spider makes mesos by selling on a site
2. Hacker uses that meso to get nx to get 2x drop to make even MORE mesos.
3. Hacker spends $2 for 4 hours of 2x meso drop and sells that on site, making even more money..
Yeah, hackers spend money on nx >_>/x_X and yeah Ive seen Wolf Spider hackers on 2x drop x_X
