Holiday Super Sock monster. - MiSSHaku - 2008-12-18
Ok, on the first Holiday Super Sock monster I killed, it dropped some weird purple thing. But one thief took it, and wouldn't tell me what it was.
So I roamed all through the channels, killing them all but no purple thing dropped.
Just then, I killed another one and TWO purple things dropped, but a bowman looted BOTH of them and wouldn't tell me what it was.
So does anyone know what this 'Purple thing' is, and if it has any real value? (Or any other drops that have potential value.)
Also, I'd like to say; the Holiday Super Sock monster is poisonable.

It's Cassandra's Marble or something along those lines.
It's an untradeable use item, it's just a pot with +10att/acc and some other meaningless buffs.

It doesn't give that much exp, and has crappy spawn compared to Bigfoot.

Regardless, no one is going to be getting good exp from this boss. No matter how hard they try.

Oh whoops, I meant, in the same place. You don't have to go romping all over the world for Bigfoot since it's in one general area. Plus, there's less people hunting Bigfoot...

Well it shouldn't be a major problem, since the EXP is low enough to avoid abuse......
But eh, looks more like its a normal monster to me, not boss. Just a normal monster with a longer spawn.

Wait...so what happens if you snipe it? With Bigfoot Marksmen would d/c, and a normal monster like the guardians outside CWK with over 100k hp would still die one hit even though we hit less than the hp it had. Anyone know?

Aids, Tyler (TboneStone) said he was DC'ing everytime he sniped it.. I don't know if it's happening to all MM or not..
then again.. its not like it's worth killing ~_~ pots/10k exp.. blah

I can second that. I know a 14x MM that was disconnecting every time she used Snipe.

I'm pretty sure you get disconnected if you hit for over 250k damage at once (except poison/shadow web/burn/frostbite), which explains why you can still snipe crimson guardians. I wonder how the marksmen over in jMS are doing in Neo Tokyo xD
