Elemental Weapons - MonkyMagic - 2008-07-07 Im just wondering what base MA was on the level 103, 130 (luckless) and 163 elemental weapons. I cant find it in SW any more. Elemental Weapons - Saver - 2008-07-07 Level 70: 85MA Level 103: 118MA Level 130: 145MA Level 163: 178MA ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
Elemental Weapons - MonkyMagic - 2008-07-07 Thanks. What about the level 130 ones though? Elemental Weapons - Saver - 2008-07-07 Posted. It seems that going with the elemental wands at level 70 is not worth it. It only has 5 more MA than the level 64 maple items and a 25% bonus, but knowing GMS the prices of these will be INSANE, meaning scrolling something good is out of the question for a long time. Whereas, maple wisdom staffs and shine wands are easy to get and easy to scroll. Edit1: Lol at "Green turtle staff" for ice and the poison purple one being "blue dragon staff" Elemental Weapons - MonkyMagic - 2008-07-07 Hehe. Thanks alot Saver! Elemental Weapons - Stereo - 2008-07-07 Saver Wrote:Posted. 25% bonus = +level matk, approximately (eg. level 100 = +100 matk) - however it scales with your magic score (as in the top matk by level thread - 5*level) so if you have +250 matk that's another 25 boost. I'd say they're definitely worthwhile if you're hunting elemental stuff, there's no way to make up a 100+ matk boost with scrolls on a normal Maple weapon. 130 weapon is simply broken >_< Elemental Weapons - butterfλi - 2008-07-07 Stereo Wrote: It's broken when you compare lukless vs luk. It's feeble when you compare a night lord buffed with sharp eyes. I don't really think game designers think about these things when they put the game together. It's funny how they know element amp would make blizzard and meteo stronger than genesis.. So they gave genesis a higher spell base to "balance" it. But they didn't make genesis cost 2x mp to cast. So now genesis is just as strong and half as costly. They knew that ice strike's freezing ability would make it more overpowered than explosion. So they made explosion stronger. And then for some reason, they made explosion slower too to "balance" out that explosion has a higher spell base. I guess they forgot it's already balanced since ice strike can freeze. Elemental Weapons - Secks - 2008-07-07 Those 163 ones really make me want to level.. EDIT : Just realized there are no 163 luckless ones. ![]() Oh well, i guess the luk mage > the lukless mage at this point? Elemental Weapons - Hazzy - 2008-07-07 Ohsnap, are these in the Global Files, or this from SEA? :f6: Elemental Weapons - Sephy - 2008-07-07 just like wow, those are so godly oO. Elemental Weapons - MonkyMagic - 2008-07-07 Secks Wrote:Those 163 ones really make me want to level.. No, Lukless mages will still > luk mages, with these weapons out. The 130 luckless wand see's to that. Elemental Weapons - Hazzy - 2008-07-07 MonkyMagic Wrote:No, Lukless mages will still > luk mages, with these weapons out. The 130 luckless wand see's to that. The 163 require Luk though. Won't that see there's some balance? :f6: Elemental Weapons - Saver - 2008-07-07 The level 163 Luk staffs only give 33 more MA than the lukless. So, the lukless only need to get rid of 33 LUK to put into INT, balancing them. Then, lukless still have 129 or some points they could put into INT instead of luk. Basically, lukless mages still win by about 129 - 100 MA because they don't need the 165 luk to wear the level 163 staffs. Elemental Weapons - Stereo - 2008-07-07 butterfli Wrote:It's broken when you compare lukless vs luk. It's feeble when you compare a night lord buffed with sharp eyes. don't get on that, there are a lot of regrettable balances in the 4th job. If it was up to me, Berserk would be a buff (cast it and max HP drops + damage boost), Ultimates would cost less and do less damage (maybe 30k at max level), and the single target mage attacks would be a hell of a lot stronger. A 18x Arch should be able to do 200k with Chain Lightning (over mobs of 3+ - maybe 90/60/40/27/18/12k) I mean just the fact that SE boosts Night Lord damage more than Marksmen says something's wrong with it :| Elemental Weapons - MonkyMagic - 2008-07-07 Hazzy Wrote:The 163 require Luk though. Won't that see there's some balance? :f6: Nope, Maybe if the 163 weapons had a lower luk requirement and a higher MA, but luk mages lose out on over a 100ma as these weapons are currently, compared to lukless mages as Saver said Elemental Weapons - LazyBui - 2008-07-08 Stereo Wrote:don't get on that, there are a lot of regrettable balances in the 4th job.Yes @ first paragraph. OFF-TOPIC SPOILER WARNING

Elemental Weapons - Hana - 2008-07-08 Just wondering, if a bishop uses one of these elemental staffs, we would deal 25% less damage to something like skelegons? I'm not exactly sure, but from how i interpret it, bishops won't be using these weapons. Elemental Weapons - Holypie - 2008-07-08 if an I/L mage was using a F/P staff, would (s)he do less hamage? EDIT: LOL 'hamage' |
