It's weird seeing Cygnus out of Ereve.
My take on what is happening here: Damien has attacked Ereve, Nienhart and the Instructors escort Cygnus out of Ereve to ensure her safety, and return to find Ereve in flames and Shinshoo dead.
ALSO they all have voice actors. that's weird.
(By the way, Orchid in GMS has voice acting during the resistance alliance quests.... she speaks in Korean, lolz)

No, it doesn't. I think the Leafre OST fits the destroyed environment perfectly. The cute music definitely complements the dead Shinshoo in the background.

meh, i thought the BGM portrayed sadness and emptiness when paired with that environment while it sounds peaceful and serene when paired with normal erev.
