Parental Control System - Darkfaith - 2008-12-04 I saw the JMS just add the Parental Control System... My question is what is this? Parental Control System - TKWizard - 2008-12-04 No clue whatsoever. We need a fluent Japanese person here. Parental Control System - Sn1perJohnE - 2008-12-04 well, logically, its a kids game, so now those "Youve played maple for X hours, you should take a break" messages may be a more forceful suggestion if the parent so chooses to make it that way (AKA time restriction tool) Parental Control System - Ctatyk - 2008-12-04 The time restriction tool is what I'm thinking it is as well. It seems like a good idea, to me. That way, those of us who are adults can play all we want...LOL Maybe the parents can set a time window that the child can play during. That'll help if both parents work and they don't want the kid playing until after they are home.... Parental Control System - KajitiSouls - 2008-12-04 I've heard that China implemented a similar law in that children are not allowed to play more than 2 hours on MMOs. By the way, just an example, I don't know exact rates) until it hits zero experience. Parental Control System - haha01haha01 - 2008-12-04 maple story is srs busines. no, really. when you register to kms you have to give your address and two valid phones. what the hell do they need that info for? calling your parents if you get lost? and now this parental control shyt. maple story is a kids game anyway, what exactly do they want to control? if the parents dont want their kids to play maplestory, disconnect the power cable. period. Parental Control System - Corn - 2008-12-04 FelixTM Wrote:Couldn't you just close down MS and reopen it...? Well, I'm assuming x hours per day, not per log-in. WoW I believe grants you 2x exp if you log off at an inn or something for an extended period of time. So if you're off for a week, you get 2x for a week. I dunno, something like that. Parental Control System - Mashi - 2008-12-04 Lozmaster Wrote:...thats to help verify you are in korea, Help? I think its just to piss you off. It takes under 30 seconds to use Google and find that info. Parental Control System - Dusk - 2008-12-04 Mashi Wrote:Help? I think its just to piss you off. It takes under 30 seconds to use Google and find that info. I didn't know you could get KSSN's on Google in less than 30 seconds, as well as the matching address and phone number. The Internet is amazing! I thought this system applied to adults, too. I've never heard of these things being referred to as parental controls. Parental Control System - Derimed - 2008-12-04 My favorite part is they sell 2x cards in 4 hour packages but tell you to get off after 3 hours. Parental Control System - Deviant - 2008-12-04 I wonder how many parents would actually take advantage of this, honestly most dont even monitor what their kids do on the computer, much less look at the features of one specific game their kids play. Do the parents have to have an account too or is it run through the kid's account, if its run through the kids it'd be all to easy for the kid to just refuse the parent acess through their account, or pose as a parent in a ticket to Nexon. Is this Parental Control the same as Family System I've been reading about? And like the guy said above me, Parents wouldn't even know if the game had a Parental Control feature, unless they are overprotective or something. And I really doubt any kids would tell their parents. The Family is something InGame, while the Parental Control being via Nexon.com(I think). Parental Control System - RavuhX - 2008-12-05 FelixTM Wrote:Couldn't you just close down MS and reopen it...? No, you couldn't sadly, China keeps a log of how long you've been on and by the China SSN as well I believe. However alot of people in China just buy 2x EXP cards or fake an adult SSN to play for long hours
Parental Control System - MechMike - 2008-12-05 Until we need to enter in a SSN we have nothing to worry about. |
