Paladin Pink Bean Solo - Sephie - 2012-08-21
Finally got around uploading it.
This was done without Dojo gloves, Apples/Gelts, or even switching equips for buffs (mainly because I forgot to bring all my non-Decent Skill equips ;p). I went in with the Virtue buff but it got dispelled before Ariel... which pretty much means Virtue didn't help me at all during this run.
For future references for other Paladins who want to solo, if you can hit 500k crits, you can down the Bean in 30 mins as a Paladin. Statues must be done by the 30 minute mark to give you enough time to fight the Bean.
However, I have decent SI so your mileage may vary.

*: Blast has like... a 21% chance to ignore 100% PDR or whatever.

my damage is around 1M lower on blasted statues, and around the same on the bean, but impale does around 1M higher than your ACB. i'll probably get the red leaf high totems and give it a try

Do you hit the speed cap?
And, after the Mikhail/Warrior Revamp patch, PB solo will be cake. Best to try before the revamp.
Most of my time is wasted on the right birdie statue (since I don't risk Blasting it) + Ariel (too much resistance) which a DrK shouldn't have too many problems with; since you hit around the same as me, you will almost certainly be able to solo the entire thing.
If you can hit reasonably high with Soul Driver, it might be faster than jump + DI on Ariel and it'll be 10x more consistent and with 1/10 the effort.

my main glove has SI, and i still have my untradeable reverse i bought before BB for SE, so yeah, i hit speed cap.
i wonder about ariel too, since impale provides a nice amount of PDR ignore and an extra line of damage at the same 180%
and why would PB be easier after the warrior patch? compared to pallies (6-hit blast) we only get impale from 180% to 200% (still a nice buff, but not that gamechanging)

Did they not add 2 more hits on Sacrifice, making it 4 hits? Useful on the Bean itself perhaps?

comparing sacrifice vs impale alone, yes, it would be better, however since i have 90% ignore with dark impale, i believe the damage is too close together (sac is 220*4 at a lower delay while impale becomes 200*5)
i guess i'll have to rerun the numbers since i can't remember, but pinning the bean and using sac is also pretty troublesome, due to the "amazing" range it has.
edit:what was the delay for normal attacks again? 690ms?

You sure you do more damage with just lightning than fire & lightning on ariel? I do less with lightning only iirc.
