sMS - Ellyria - Simsands - 2008-11-10 This is the first part of my project Simsands Maple Story. Enjoy~ The homeland of the Grays, the land of mysteries - Ellyria. It’s finally time to raid the Grays. After finishing a couple of quests (Level 50) at Omega Sector you will be able to travel to Ellyria - which is what the Grays correspond to our Ossyria - by talking to Dr. Kim. There is no sun that shines on Ellyria. Because of this there are no normal plants that grow there. There are instead a lot of weird plants with colors such as purple or blue. These plants have the strange ability to create light. This light is purple and blue, corresponding to their colors and gives everything a weird shade. Unlike what you could think, Ellyria isn’t really that much space and stuff. It’s pretty similar to the Maple world; there is just another “climate”. The place NW Harbour which is to be released, will sell tickets to an airship. This ship will take you to the skies of Ellyria where there is no gravity affecting you. The purple and blue lights are divided into the west and east part of the continent. The west part is where the purple lights are. On this side reside easier monsters than on the blue side. They are around the level range of 50-98. On the blue side however you can find harder monsters. To acquire access to this side of Ellyria you have to complete a couple of quests which includes killing a certain boss. There is no level range for these quests, the only problem is to actually get to Ellyria and then do the quests. You will also have to do something that could be associated as a jump quest. It is not really that, but you have to gain access in a place that is hard to move forward in. The place which is to be found in Blue Fields, the Mineral Forest, is indeed a strange place. It is filled with a power which has given regular monsters enormous powers. You will find enemies here, such as snails, but much more powerful. No one knows what the source of this abnormal power is, but the Omega Sector scientists are researching about it as much as they can. Perhaps we’ll get an answer to this sometime in the future… Except for the army of Omega Sector, everyone here in Ellyria are your enemies. To be able to travel inside the cities you will have to be transformed into a monster. You can luckily buy transform rocks for 5k each from Porter who also sells various potions and other items only useable in Ellyria. Scroll further down for a list of Porters store. The transform rock that Porter sells is not the same as the normal cash shop item. With this you don’t only change your appearance but you will also be transformed into a monster, meaning you won’t be able to be hit by other monsters. However, travelling outside the towns while transformed is not a really good idea since hunting maplers can kill you. In case this would happen you will not lose any experience. However, you will be sent back to nearest town transformed back into a human. Meaning you will be thrown into jail, a very annoying experience (Read below). The capital city of Ellyria is called Graytopia. It is a great town in the centre of Ellyria. Here resides the king of all Grays, Master Gray. Here, as in all other towns you should use your transform rock all the time. If you don’t do so you will be thrown into jail. That is no fun experience since you will need to finish a couple of very annoying quests to break out. In the middle of the city goes the border between the purple and blue side of the continent. You can find this border at the map ‘Graytopia : Castle River’. This river is also the border across whole Ellyria that splits the purple and the blue side off. All around Ellyria you will find smaller towns with various monster and quests. All the quests around Ellyria will be in the level range of 50 and 150. Quite a large range isn’t it? xD For more information about the quests, or rather; the story, scroll down a bit.

They do quite high damage and will either teleport you back to the start of the map or throw you away a long distance if you touch them. There is a LOT of them in the maps. Uncareful maplers will have a hard time passing these. Area skill, heals all monsters close. Single skill, heals targeted monster. Name : Deer King Level : 93 HP/MP : 50000/500 Experience : 3000 Notes : All stats high Name : Deer God (Boss) Level : 95 HP/MP : 1,500,000/2500 (x2) Experience : 10000 Notes : This boss is actually two in one. The Two will work separate but at the same time help, support and combine their attacks. However, if you kill one of them, it won’t just lie down on the ground and disappear. It will return to its partner to boost and support him. This one will become a lot more powerful if this happen, so killing one first and then go on the second one is not very recommended. They won’t die until both have lost all of their hp. Shadows These monsters are hard to describe. They are very dark, and will mostly appear where there are shadows. The shape is hard to describe. It looks a little bit like a rat. A big one. But it definitely isn’t. All of the shadows are very fast and usually can cast some kind of curse. Ellyrians Nothing really specific about these monsters. They are pretty much just Ellyrian versions of regular creatures. They have much more shade than they would look for us, but else than that, there is nothing really noticeable in their appearance. Grays I hope that you already know what these look like. They are the same as the enemies at Omega Sector, just a couple of small differences between their looks and abilities. Livings These monsters are made of regular materials which have been made alive with powerful magic. They usually have either high defense or high accuracy. Giants Sand Giants are already found in Ariant. Similar to the Livings, they are made of materials which have been awaked. Found together with the Livings. Keepers All of these look very much alike. The only difference between them is the color of the light inside their torches. They are small creatures with a robe that covers their whole body. They are holding a torch with a colored light. The light of this torch reveals which element this monster have. Elementals Hovering ball of a specific element. They have powerful magic attacks. If you press down, they can pass by you without dealing damage. Scarabs They look just like you expect them to do when you hear the name. They are small beetles with high speed. They spawn with a little animation of them digging up from the ground. Devourers Similar to the Scarabs. These ones however, are more like a spider. Found together with the Scarabs. Worms Giant worms. They have the ability to dig/dive underground for a couple of seconds. They are invincible while doing so. Deer These ones are found inside the deep parts of the Hideout forest. If you couldn’t figure, they are parts of a deer family. The strongest of these are the Deer God which is needed to kill to gain access to the Blue Side of Ellyria. Dragons Oh yes, these are indeed dragons. They are found in the Blue Side of Ellyria, mostly outside Vialia. They vary in color depending on their element. They also have powerful magic, looking alike the skills which Wizards get. Minerals They look just like some of the monsters which are to be found around the Maple world, but much more powerful. They get their powers from the forest, but no one knows how. The greatest scientists in the Maple world is trying to understand the secret, but no one has succeeded yet.

The story
The army of Omega Sector is finally prepared to attack the Grays! But they are still lacking power, so they are recruiting strong Maplers who can help them in their attack. I had just returned from hunting when I heard the news. I had nothing to do at the moment so I took the next ship to Orbis and then continued to Ludibrium. On the way down through Eos Tower, I stopped to talk with the Roly Polys a little while to hear a little bit about what’s happening. I was told that they are giving out missions to hunt down lots of monster to test our strength. I continued down and eventually made it down to Omega Sector. Unlike the other times I had visited the place before, now it was flooded with Maplers, weak as strong. I heard that I should go talk with General Maestro so I set for him. I found him walking around by himself in the outside of the base and asked him about joining the forces. After discussing a little while, he sent me away to hunt 10 different monsters around the world. Some of these were Golems, Straw Target Dummies, Jr. Yetis and Soul Teddies. I had to kill 999 of each of them so I set of to start hunting. After a couple of hour long training, I finally completed the quest and returned back to Maestro. He was very pleased and said that I was going to be a great help, but that I had to wait a couple of days until we were going to travel out in space. I went away to rest until then. One week later I received a message that I should head for Omega. I hurried over there and met a bunch of other strong Maplers. I also met Mai who I hadn’t seen since I left Maple Island many years ago. She told me that she was called to fight against the Aliens along with us other strong Maplers. I left her for now and checked out Omega. I noticed that a lot had changed during the week I had been gone. A large spaceship was standing near the west entrance and figured that we were going to travel with that. I noticed that there was a big crowd of people outside the Command Center so I went there and noticed that Porter had opened a store where he sold totally new potions and other items which looked quite interesting. He was also selling a bag where I could store more items if my inventory was full. I bought a handful of the items including the bag and went outside to the spaceship. Maestro was standing outside and told me that we were going to lift in 30 minutes. I went inside the ship and was amazed by the technology. It isn’t able to be described it in words, you have to see it. More people came inside the ship when time float by. The ship started shaking a little after a while and I understood that we had lifted. I was surprised by the speed that we arrived. It only took 15 minutes. I was told that they had developed extremely powerful motors which could travel at a very high speed. I went outside and was welcomed by a cold breeze and a shady area, with a big forest on all sides. A campfire was already set, so I sat down and talked a little with my companions. I spent the night in the camp before I set of on my missions. When I woke up, I couldn’t see the spaceship, so I assumed that it already had left. But I was soon proved wrong, when Mai told me that the ship was cloaked. I suddenly realized that I hadn’t seen it the last night either. She also told me that the continent I was on was called Ellyria. Then she told me that I should go see General Maestro for instructions. I found him and asked a couple of questions. He then told me about the attack. It was going to be a sneak attack, where we sneaked into their world using transforming rocks that Porter was selling, so that we could gather information about their world. With this, we would be able to strike more powerful. Porter, along with all the people I knew from Omega, had followed with us and had brought his shop with him. I, who had already bought the rocks, didn’t buy something from him, but I figured that it wouldn’t take long until I needed some more stuff. My first mission was to go to the capital city, Graytopia, and make contact with the king. When leaving the camp, I used the transform rock directly and felt a strange feeling in my body. Soon I would notice that I didn’t take any damage from the monsters. Neither were they aggressive against me. I walked around and eventually came out of the forest. I found myself facing a road split. I saw a road sign a little bit further on the road so I went there to see if it gave any instructions. But when I came close, I became shocked, since suddenly it became alive and started jumping. But when it didn’t see anything threatening it went back to sleep, so I went over to it and read what it said. It was written in strange letters that I had never seen before, but I could still read what it said on it. I read “Purple Fields – Graytopia”. Since I was heading for Graytopia, I followed the sign and kept on walking. On my way, I noticed many enemies that looked very powerful. But since they didn’t attack me, I just walked past them, and eventually made it to a big castle. I understood that it was where I was going, so I knocked on the gate and a little window next to the gate opened. When the guard had seen my alien shape, he opened the gate and let me in. I was immediately asked what my intentions here where. I noticed that they talked a strange language and when I responded, I spoke the same as they did. I was really surprised that I understood this language that I hadn’t heard ever before, but I figured that it was thanks to the transform rock. The guards weren’t really convinced but they let me in. I wasn’t allowed to meet the king yet though. I had to complete several tasks to show that I was worthy meeting him. I accepted this and started completing these tasks directly. After working for a while, the guard decided that I was allowed to go see the king. They gave me an entrance proof and directions to the castle and I went over there. On my way, I noticed how few of the Ellyrians who looked like the aliens in Omega. They actually looked a bit like us Maplers. When I thought about it even more, I noticed that only the guards were Grays. When walking over a river, I noticed that my appearance hadn’t changed much. I just had an Ellyrian look over myself. I made it to the castle and was stopped by another troop of guards once again. However, this time went much smoother; I showed them the proof and was immediately granted access. While making my way to the Royal Chambers, I saw many interesting things. There was a big kitchen near the entrance of the castle. I walked inside and was offered various meals for a small amount of money. I also walked by a weapon storage which would be an honor for the greatest king to own. When I almost had reached the Chambers, I saw a big solid door. I decided to let that be for now and go see the king. I walked into the chambers and was greeted by the king. He asked me what my purpose in Graytopia was and I told him that I shortly made up a lie about me being a traveler looking for audience in the capital city for now. He accepted my reason and started to talk with me. I took the opportunity to hands and asked him a couple of questions about the place and other things that could be useful for my mission. I made sure to not be suspicious, and became very surprise about how much the king was willing to tell me. After a little while, I said goodbye to the king and walked out. “Perfect, I though while walking out of the castle. Another mission complete”. I took my time to wander around in the city and talk to several Ellyrians. I heard many quite interesting stories about many different things, and found several merchants with items that I’d never seen before. I felt that I was done here and started to head back to the camp. On the way back however, something happened that I hadn’t really expected. A hunting Mapler was standing right in my way and suddenly attacked me. I made him realize that I was on his side, but understood that I had to be more careful later on. I transformed back to my normal form and headed to the camp. I found General Maestro and reported in. He congratulated me on a completed mission and gave me a small reward as thanks to my help. I took the next day to explore the world. I went the same path I had gone before, but turned left at the second road slit I had seen instead of going right towards Graytopia. I shortly noticed that the enemies here was easier than the ones I had encountered before. I transformed back to normal to kill for a little while. It went smooth and I had soon cleared up a path leading to a couple of caves. I walked into the caves and looked around a bit. It was very dark inside, and the purple light which was everywhere outside had somehow managed to get inside the cave and gave it a gloomy light. I remembered something Mai had told me about plants giving light, and after a quick look through the room, I saw a few plants giving off a weak light of purple. I walked over to them and noticed a few symbols similar to the ones I had seen yesterday. I didn’t understand them at first, but then I figured that I had to be transformed to be able to understand the Ellyrians’ language. So I transformed back and could immediately read the symbols. They said “When the sky falls down, the prophecy will be fulfilled and the hero shall return.” I had no clue what that meant, so I left it for now until later. I went deeper inside the cave and reached a tunnel. Since there was no other way, I went into the tunnel and started to walk through it. As I reached in further, the light became weaker and weaker. It wasn’t until it almost was pitch black when I saw a light ahead of me. I rushed over to it and was soon out of the tunnel. I felt a cool breeze and suddenly realized that I was quite a bit up on a mountain. I proceeded further a little bit and shortly found myself at the gates of a small town. There were no guards stopping me, so I walked into the town. I was surprised of how poor the technology was here compared to the capital city. There were only a few houses and they all were in bad shape. I talked to some of the residents and was told that they were from a tribe which had been chased out of the main continent of Ellyria. I found another entrance to the city and went out through it. I was astonished of the view I found here. Not so far away from the mountain I could see a giant ocean. I was all in the middle of being amazed of the view when I felt that someone was watching me. I turned around and saw an old man sitting on top of a rock a bit away from me. I guessed that I must have passed without seeing him since I hadn’t heard him come. I found something strange about this man though. He didn’t look like the other Ellyrians I had met before. For a short matter of time, I thought that I recognized him from somewhere. But then I lost that thought, as soon as it had come. He introduced himself as Sid Namss. - Enjoying the view are we, eh? - Yeah. - I’m guessing you’re not from around here? - No, this is the first time I’m here. - So, where are you from then? - (Oh crap… Better come up with something fast) I’ve lived in the forests almost all my life. - That’s rare… There have not been many survivors from there. - (I wonder what happened… I’m the only one I know who have survived.- I see… May I ask you I question? - Sure? - You’re not from the forest are you? - (Who is this man?) How did you know? - Cause there has never happened something there leaving very few survivors. As a matter of fact, it’s pretty much impossible to live there anyway. - Why did you say those things then? - Just because I don’t believe you’re from around here. - How do you mean? - I don’t think you’re from Ellyria at all. And the fact that most of Graytopia’s guards are heading straight for Lania with an order of arresting you is making that theory very likely. - Whaa!? They’re after me? - Yes. They already know about your friends in the northern forest but are heading for you first. They believe they can deal more damage to them with you captured. - Who are you? And how do you know all these stuff? - That is not important at this point. The only important thing right now is that you have to head south towards Mizuno. Outside you will find a strange device. You will be able to transport from there to your hideout by using the correct keyword. Don’t ask me for the keyword though. I don’t know what it is. But I do know that if you search your mind, you will find the keyword. When it’s safe, come back here and I will tell you more. But you better hurry away from here. The guards will be here in any minute. I thanked him and rushed down the mountain. I ran a long time and finally made it to a city built upon a lake. And just as Sid Namss had said, I found a strange looking device just a little bit away from the lake. I started to think of what the keyword could be. I thought for a pretty long time but couldn’t solve the riddle. All of a sudden, I heard a scream behind me. I looked back and saw to my big fear at least one hundred fully armored guards quickly running towards me. All out of a sudden, a thought came to my mind. I rushed over to the device, screamed the words “Stranger” and grabbed it. The device lit up and made some weird sounds. Just before the guard in the front reached me, it flamed up and I disappeared. I found myself right outside the hideout and rushed into it. I found General Maestro next to the cloaked spaceship. I rushed up to him and told him about the guards. He jumped up, shocked and started to gather the troops. I made myself ready to fight too, but was stopped. I was apparently needed for other things. The army had heard that there was a powerful tool hidden deep inside a giant forest, much larger than the one we currently were in. They believed that this tool could defeat the aliens. It was a dangerous mission though. We risked being found, so only two people could go. I had been selected, along with Mai. There was one obstacle though. To access passage through the deep parts of the Hideout Forest, we needed to gain respect from the guardian of it. By other means, we had to find and defeat it. Since the Ellyrian were heading towards us, we went out as soon as possible. We went the same way as before out of the forest, but this time we took the right turn. This path led us shortly back into the forest again. This part of the forest was much harder to move in than where we had been before. There were also many bats flying around in this part. After a while, we made it to a place where we almost couldn’t move forward at all. Thornbushes were also growing all over the area. I accidentally slipped and touched one of the bushes. I was certainly not prepared for anything like what happened. Shortly after touching it, it grew alive and threw me far back. I was so surprised of what happened that I didn’t even notice the pain. Mai healed me anyway and we continued the path through the forest. Thanks to my accident, we now knew what the thornbushes did, so now we made sure to not touch them. We made it through after a while and found ourselves in a much wider area. After walking forward in this area, we noticed that we had made it into the home of a big deer family. This was a good sign, since the guardian of the forest was supposedly two deer. We walked through the forest and eventually made it to a cave. Mai, who had made some research about the guardian, knew how to summon the guardian. A ritual was needed, and soon we had finished it. A strong wind blew up and a storm of leaves flew up in front of us. After a few seconds, the leaves fell down on the ground and we found ourselves staring at two giant deer, one male and one female. The male spoke to us with a deep voice. “You are seeking passage through our forest. For us to grant you passage, you have to show your strength. Prepare yourselves” The two deer came directly at us. I had my weapons in my hands in no time and the battle began. We fought for a long time and then I managed to defeat the female. She returned directly to her partner to support him. I went also there and helped Mai defeat the Male. This turned out much harder than when they were alone, but with gathered power we managed to defeat the guardian. “You have showed your powers. We, the guardian of the Deer Forest, hereby grants you passage through out forest.” With those words, the guardian disappeared and a crack opened up in the back of the cave. We walked out of the cave and found ourselves in the outskirts of a desert. We took the straight path forward and shortly faced some powerful dragons. Here, the desert seemed to vary a lot in temperature. One path took you to a burning hot place while the next one took you to the coldest area you could even think of. We made it through this area and reached a town. We made it through the town without being seen and kept on the path. We shortly made it to a giant forest and understood that this was our destination. While walking into the forest, we were overwhelmed by an extreme energy. This place was without any doubt a magical place. I had never ever experienced this kind of energy. We made it deeper into the forest and eventually found a group of snails. They looked just like the ones we had fought on Maple Island, so I was a bit surprised. I made an attempt to attack them. The attack did hit them, but they didn’t seem affected by it. They all turned around and made an attempt to an attack. I tried to block the attack by jumping out of the way, but was instead hit by an extremely powerful force. These snails were indeed very powerful. Even with the help of Mai, it took a really big effort to kill them. We barely made it out alive and made the conclusion that they were affected by the strange energy inside this forest. We started to look for the tool. We saw many more enemies which looked just like the Victoria Island monsters, but decided to leave them for now, since we didn’t want to risk death again. After a few hours searching, we could confirm that there was no such tool here. Either had it been removed, or never even existed. We still didn’t give up our hopes. We tried to reach further into the land of Ellyria. We made it through a town and then reached some giant stairs. At the end of these, we found a big temple. On the other side of this temple we found a very sad place. Around the thousands graves which was placed all over the place, we found many undead creatures wandering around. We left this sad place but were stopped right after. We were now staring at a giant gate. It seemed like it hadn’t been used for many years. The inside seemed to be abandoned too. We decided to head back for the hideout to help out. We walked for a long time and finally made it to the outskirts of the hideout. We were now shocked by what we saw. The whole place was in ruins and many corpses were lying all over the place. After walking into the hideout a little bit, we heard some voices. I snuck closer and saw a few of our people talking. These were Dr Kim, Jr. Officer Medin, Spacen and Dr. Pepper. They did however not speak the language I knew and after a while I recognized it as the same language as the Ellyrian were speaking. I was very surprised since I had no clue that they knew that language. I snuck as close as I could without being found and saw to my great horror that they were speaking with the Ellyrian king. I used one of my last transform rocks to be able to understand what was said. I was even more terrified of what was being said. It was clear that these four people who I thought were me friends, were working together with the aliens. They had set up the trap for me, and when I had made it back alive, they sent me out on that impossible mission, thinking I would die trying. I hurried away as fast as I could without making any sound and started to look for Mai so I could tell her about what I had found out. I found her sword lying on the ground where I left her and started to be worried. All of a sudden, a gun was pointing against my head. I heard Dr Kim’s voice; “So, you’re still alive, are you? Tougher to kill than a cockroach for sure. Well that’s the past. You have gone in my way for the last time” “Kim, wait. Don’t kill him yet. He might be valuable later on. Just throw him into prison for now” “Hmph. Fine, as you want” I felt a heavy pain in my head and then everything went black. - End of Chapter 1 - Final words I am sorry if this has been hard to read. My grammar isn’t the best thing in the world, since English isn’t my first language. I’ve tried my best though, and it should be understandable. I hope everyone who have/will read this through enjoyed it. At least have I enjoyed writing it. Please say what you thing about this. Both the idea and the story. Next part should be out in a couple of weeks. Credits Credits goes to me for writing and making up all of this and to Nexon for creating this game which have inspired me to do this. sMS - Ellyria - JezzaRules - 2008-11-10 Wow... I can see you put a lot of effort into that :f6:. Great work in making this area! This area has pretty much the largest number of monster species I've seen out of all the creations here not to mentioned the most balanced in terms of level. I definately agree Nexon should implement the Grays homeworld. sMS - Ellyria - Serene - 2008-11-12 Great work i liked the entire concept new monster skills and areas seem really interesting
this would make an awsome area to add to gms if it were that easy new areas and such =) and it looks like you put alot of effort into it maybe add some monster designs and it would be awsome too see sMS - Ellyria - Simsands - 2008-11-14 Thanks a lot for the support guys xD I've been too busy to work on the second part this week. I'll try to get it going now on the weekend. sMS - Ellyria - SimSambo - 2008-11-14 . sMS - Ellyria - Corn - 2008-11-14 Are you and Simsambo like relatives/siblings/the same person or something? It seem like a coincidence that both of you have the word "Sim" in your names and make pretty good MapleAddition threads XD. sMS - Ellyria - Simsands - 2008-11-15 ClawofBeta Wrote:Are you and Simsambo like relatives/siblings/the same person or something?
