at what point do you think a player should make a quitting thread when he's about to quit. for example when they reach lvl 100? or when they have 50 buddies? or when they lead a full 100 people guild?

I personally plan of doing that at lvl 150. but yeah, is this kind of thread usefull at all? what if no one replies?

I'm responding, but just to say that the idea of 'quitting' makes it seem you're getting off a drug or quititng a job. I'd like it better if people would just say they're done playing. And why do people make such a big deal over it? I occasionally go through periods when I don't play often (right now infact) but I don't announce it to the world.

When you get bored of the game, just stop playing. Simple as that.

I guess you should make an "I quit" thread when you feel the need to call attention to yourself, one last time....

Making "I Quit" threads never is and never will be the thing to do.

I'll quit when I get bored or when this game seriously pineapples up my life.

But seriously, I'd think a thread for everyone quitting to put their own quit posts would be more helpful.

Basil needs it, anyways.

You could make a "goodbye maple" video. That's alot better than a thread that will only get a bunch of "good luck in life" responses, and will be active for less than 24 hours before it dies down.

Quit when you have 50 buddies? Just quit when you feel the need to.

I already quit. The worst time to do so is when you've done some of the things you've mentioned. Quit once you have a full guild? You force 100 people to leave the guild or spend mesos to form a new one. And it's a lot harder to leave when you have a lot of friends. Friends were the reason I stuck with this game for 3 and a half years. Hell, they're the reason I still use these forums.

Better off just quitting and not causing any drama.

They are also against the rules here.

If you quit for a reason involving you not being able to go on MS then making a thread makes sense. Otherwise, just tell your buddylist :/

Leaving without warning and notice is more fun. Popping up at random intervals is fun too. ;D

You should never make a quitting thread. It's unnecessary and stupid, just tell your buddy list that you quit. I especially love the people who quit MS/forum completely but then just randomly appear, like they feel the need to remind everyone they exist. ugh they take a pineappleing seat and leave for good Tongue It happened here a few months ago, and I wouldn't be surprised if the individual was still lurking now.
