"Out of Frequence Range" Error - Mashi - 2008-11-02 Everytime I open up MS, I get this black screen w/ a blue text box saying: OUT OF FREQUENCE RANGE
(Shows a Green, Red and Blue Rectangle) ATTENTION OUT OF RANGE H:77.1KHz V:119.9HZ (Note: The numbers change when I Alt + Tab out) Also, when I take a screenshot, it comes out as the login screen; skipping the Wizet and Nexon Logos. Can anyone help me with this? Btw, I tried to load a PS and still got the error. "Out of Frequence Range" Error - Devil - 2008-11-02 Run setup.exe in your maplestory dir, and keep pressing NO till the logo moves around the screen REALLY smoothly (And I mean REALLY smoothly). (Most likely at 60hz) "Out of Frequence Range" Error - KajitiSouls - 2008-11-02 Try screwing around with your monitor frequency settings (which setup.exe should already have done). Other than that, I think you're out of luck =( EDIT: My Vista laptop monitor runs at 59 Hertz currently. "Out of Frequence Range" Error - Lylac - 2008-11-02 Run the setup.exe file in the Maplestory folder. There should be clear instructions in what to do there. "Out of Frequence Range" Error - rassilon - 2008-11-02 To clarify what some others are saying, this message is coming from your monitor itself. That is why you can't take a screenshot of it. Your computer is trying to display the MapleStory images, but your monitor isn't showing them because it doesn't like the signal it's getting. The purpose of the SETUP.EXE program is to go through various frequencies and graphics modes until you find one that works well. When you say "YES" to it, it records that setting in your game configuration, and MS will use that graphics mode the next time it starts. If Setup has changed your graphics setting, but that doesn't help when you actually start the game, see if there is something else on your system that could be overriding it. For example, on mine I have an NVIDIA control panel, where I can specify graphics settings for individual programs if I want to. If you have something like that, check to see that you don't have any settings saved for Maple, or clear them if you do. "Out of Frequence Range" Error - Mashi - 2008-11-04 For some reason, I can't find my Setup.exe
"Out of Frequence Range" Error - Devil - 2008-11-04 Mashi Wrote:For some reason, I can't find my Setup.exe- Right click on your Maplestory shortcut where you start it with. - Click on "Properties" in the menu that pops up. - Look what stands behind "Start in:" - Write down that text (e.g. C:\Program Files\Maplestory) - Doubleclick on "My Computer" on your Desktop - Locate the "Adress" bar and the white bar behind that - Type in the white bar behind "Locate" the text you wrote down earlier - Press enter - Now you're in the Maplestory folder and you should be able to find setup.exe Edit: The folder you're showing in doesn't have gameguard files, so you're in the wrong maplestory folder. Follow my guide so you'll get in the correct one.
