I thought this was already known? o_o

Every application you put on Facebook essentially asks you to allow access to your profile and your information anyway, now they're just publicizing it.

I'm sure Google+ does the same thing, but a lot less low key.

Quote:According to SAI sources, the following exchange is between a 19-year-old Mark Zuckerberg and a friend shortly after Mark launched The Facebook in his dorm room:
Code:
Zuck: Yeah so if you ever need info about anyone at Harvard
Zuck: Just ask.
Zuck: I have over 4,000 emails, pictures, addresses, SNS
[Friend]: What? How'd you manage that one?
Zuck: People just submitted it.
Zuck: I don't know why.
Zuck: They "trust me"
Zuck: Dumb f'ucks.

2011 version:

Zuck: Yeah so if you ever need info about anyone at world.
Zuck. Just ask.
Zuck: I have over 1billion emails, pictures, addresses, SNS
[Hacker]: What? How'd you manage that one?

Don't they just use Cookies? I never allow them at all, and always delete them. I also block facebook related stuff unless I am on the main site itself.
