"Some monster cards aren't dropping" issue isn't a glitch. - Raph589 - 2011-08-17

Me and friends did some experiments today, and we've come to this conclusion: The card of a monster doesn't drop if the monster is more than 14 levels ahead of us, 14 not included. Hope this help the issue of "not dropping cards"...

I was Lv 157 When I tried to get the Cheap stereo card. First I had to get the VIP tickets wich took me 15 minutes. Then i've been looking around for 30 mins straight for the card but none dropped. So that can't be the thing with my issue. But it might help for others.

This makes perfect sense and is most likely true. Good job.

I thought I was the only one having an issue getting these cards. Spirit of Rock's card dropped just fine, but when I tried to get the Cheap Amplifier and Fancy Amplifier cards, they never dropped and I was there for almost an hour.

Took me about 5 minutes to get each of the cards from the VIP zone in Kerning Square. You guys were just unlucky =/.

RNG is RNG. Why have we started using this piss poor excuse of "If XYZ doesn't drop for me, then it's glitched" as of late?

What's so hard to understand!?

Because it's almost statistically impossible that a card which have a 5-10% drop rate doesn't drop in 200 kills.

5% is 5%. Sure there's "Probability", but that doesn't magically change the 5% into a higher %.

Gambler's fallacy isn't limited to the poker tables, it seems.

I can more or less confirm this given my experience with skelosaurus. Anyway, for the people complaining about the amplifier, I was unable to get it to drop in the VIP area. Also, double clicking them in the VIP area didn't seem to do anything. I got them just fine in the regular area, however.

That's not gambler's fallacy, gambler's fallacy would be saying that the card didn't drop in the past 199 kills, so it has a higher chance of dropping on the 200th one. It's different when the outcomes of all 200 kills are unknown.

let it be noted, that if you make a begginer and check your book, it won't have all the tabs, limiting the amount of cards you can get.

also, cards drop, you've seen the books with 4xx cards, they drop

Ah, this makes senses now and I could confirm it. Both my friend and I are level 165 and attempting to hunt the future ereve cards, everything up to Advanced Knight B which is level 179 (The mage that summons ifrit and does the Flame Gear.) dropped it... after a while we decided to hunt Knight C (The pirate one) it didn't drop after over 100+ kills and wasting 500+ elixers/powers ._.... However, when we asked a fellow DrK who were 186 that was there hunting cards as well to kill for us, it dropped pretty much in 2 kills. So I'm quite sure it's following the 14 level limit system.

Also does anyone know where to find Lightning? I need the card D:, or is it in that locked room I couldn't enter?

What the flying pineapple does "almost statistically impossible" mean?
