PvP strategy for pirates - Takebacker - 2011-07-22 I've been playing a bit of PvP for gallant emblems and wanted to mull over some strategies with everyone. Some of them are really hard, the others just abuse how godly they made dragon strike. And yes, this isn't just about buccs. 1) In the gold riche map you can snipe the whole top plat from the one under it with DS. You can cast/spam from the floor and it will still hit anyone on top which is cool since there is usually a mob of people there. 2) Has anyone tried xform cancelling? I tried using it and it was REALLY REALLY hard at least on the keyboard i was on. The strategy is basically using an attack (demo/barrage) and cancelling the transformation to no delay out of it. Goal is to do this so fast that you attack faster than anyone can recover. I think best method is to just ST cancel from demo into transform and then barrage cancel. Barrage is kind of short ranged though so snatching something close first might be needed. I think anyone who can do this really well in PvP will be very hard to kill since the xform cooldowns get reset on death and we have time leap. (though that doesn't cooldown) 3) On the lava team stage...(BEST MAP BY FAR, SO FUN) the bottom lava is hilariously awesome for us. We can CSB them into the pit and jump cast snatch to keep them in when they try and go up the rope. The lava doesn't hit for much so you can heal that damage with drain very easily. Does anyone have anything else? PvP strategy for pirates - Chicocl - 2011-07-22 Well for corsairs the best option is snipe, you can use homing beacon to target a DB for example and kill it in 3-4 cannons, wings are very useful to run in the platforms like the ice map, if you have shark wave it is a lot better than torpedo, because you have a faster option to escape with wings, gaviota is a nice skill for a final hit because it has no attack cooldown like cannon so it can be used after a good amount of hits. PvP strategy for pirates - masterzero - 2011-07-22 1. Grab attack potion 2. Find a mob 3. Dragon strike 4. ???? 5. Profit In a more serious tone , I have found attack and defense potions to be essential for racking up tons of points , you kill much faster like that Like tackebacker said , our main skills ( demo , ds) have an higher vertical range , so you can snipe with them from a lower/higher platform to great effect I don't fight anyone 1 on 1 without some kind of pot tho , we're not so great in 1 vs 1 PvP strategy for pirates - Ricepigeon - 2011-07-22 Here's a strategy I formulated with my TB: 1.) use Shark Wave 2.) wait 5 seconds 3.) repeat steps 1 & 2 until dying during step 2 Lag ftw PvP strategy for pirates - Extremely Neutral - 2011-07-23 I made a ua brawler it's a ton of fun to play team matches with. -get on a large platform(usually the main one in the stage) -your teammates on one side and you on the other(preferable you on the side closer to opponent spawn side) -backspin blow opponents to the middle -pincer attack~(wooo sharkwave) -corkscrew annoying players off the platform so they don't get points lol I've only done the 70+ one yet, so dunno how well it'll do in 120+ ![]() EDIT: I'm not very good at one on one so my tip would be to maneuver your opponents into a big mob with you on the outside dragon striking, and if someone tries to run away backspin or snatch them back.
