Back in June 2006, when my cousin introduced me to this game, my cousin played an archer and I was like, "Why is he an archer and not one of those popular classes?" There weren't many archers running around since they were considered "weak" or some crap like that. Archers weren't super common like thieves. So I created my first character as an archer a month and still sorta play him (lol nearly 5 years and he's only level 93.) Nowadays, bowmen are everywhere and I guess that's nice.
I just went off topic... I think.
Just don't listen to them. Play whatever class you want. Wild Hunters are fun, though.

I played a WH, got it to 120... still prefer my BM, even if WHs are more powerful. Don't know why.
Title's a bit redundant, though. Technically, WHs ARE Archers too. :b

i made a WH cause i wanted to try it out, i ended taking him up to like 90 with full intention of getting to 4th job and being mr. cool ice wildman shootin that wildness and exploding those gears.
i was just training one day, down in the mines, when it hit me like a wall.
this class is nothing without the jaguar. it's completely dependent on it. where's the fun... or the pride, or the feeling of autonomy for your char, when you know if he steps off this "jaguar" that comes out of nowhere, has no story? there's one poor, poor obligatory quest you do to get him, and that's it. there is literally no lore, no connection whatsoever to this thing. it doesn't eat, you don't train it, it doesn't level, but it owns you completely, and for some reason wild hunters ride them cause...? you're the weakest of all archers w/o it. and i quit right there, and plan on making a marksman. ever since i started playing maple, i loved crossbowmen. i just loved bandits and stealing stuff more, and my friend made a bowman, so i wanted it to be fun for us.
anyway hopefully soon, i can proudly unite with yew archers. y'all kookoo bananas n shhhh

They use a bow/crossbow. They use arrows. They're under the general category of ARCHER. They're not the same CLASS (Adventurer, Cygnus, Resistance) but they're still ARCHERS. D:<

I can't stand WHs at all. Being in a new server, items are more scarce than in older servers. Having Arcania be released at the same time as the Resistance classes was the worst thing to happen to the server. A large portion of Arcania is Resistance which implies...
Not only are WHs hogging all the crossbows, but also some skillbooks. With demand ever growing, prices can only follow suit. It's hard for Marksmen to pass Marksman Boost 20/30 (more so 20) considering how rare the book is plus the fact that WHs are in droves desperately trying to pass it.

Like the guy above you said, without their "pet" they are nothing but a useless class with a Xbow walking around. Their Pet makes the class no the bow.

To be fair, that seems to be the entire theme of the Resistance. None of the Resistance classes play at all like their adventurer, legend, or cygnus counterparts. I'd take a bet that if we saw a Resistance warrior in the future, it'd ultimately play like a mage/ranged hybrid. Or a Resistance claw-using thief playing like a bandit/brawler hybrid.

We asked for Nexon to better our classes. So they just combine them into a new class? Why couldn't they just combine the classes into one class. -.- All archers become a MM + BM hybrid. That's the only way we'll beat WH's.
