So, I decided to randomly check the email accounts of a bunch of my mule accounts, hoping to get the 5k NX codes nexon sent to some accounts, what I instead found and realized was I had a bunch of "Come Back To Maple" codes that would give 2x exp cards and some other nx items (mostly vip teles and charms, but some with random pets/pet equips). To test them out i used one on my cygnus, and it worked fine, and then sold one to a friend. After that I waited a while and got better estimates on how much they were worth, relatively, I sold one to my guildmate. Apparently he claimed it didnt work, and asked for a different code, telling me I should have just used the option that popped up to gift it to him. The gifting option apparently didnt work at all, wouldnt let me type name in or select it so I gave him another code that day. Went 2 more codes and none of them seem to be working. I mean, he could be scamming me, but I've known him for a while and I do trust him to a degree.
So I was wondering if anyone else has gotten the emails codes before and have them simply not work? I mean, I wouldnt put it past someone to have created a generator seeing as the codes are all alphanumeric 18 digit codes and see if they get lucky.

while not ruling out that I may very well be getting scammed, I posted this question more or less to see what the possibilities were I was not. The person in question is someone well respected in the community, and while that doesn't necessarily mean he couldn't possibly scam someone using that trust, just seems like its out of character for him.
And the only one's i've tried using on myself were the first one and the ones he claimed had already been used. And the only oddity is when I was copy/pasting the ones that had already been used, half the time it would say "Make sure the code is correct" then on a different attempt, say "This code has already been used"

I don't believe there was a generator for them. For we know, it could be a Nexon-esque error and they delivered two of the same "unique" codes.

yeah, that would be the case if he was scamming me. I dont plan on doing further attempts with him, because its either him scamming or someone else figured out the codes and used them, either way its just not good business.

I don't get why you would scam codes if they are instantly activated.
Unless he's saving it up, then that's a pretty low scam.

Thats the other reason it seems unlikely, I mean, I kind of trust the person, so the most reasonable scam to me would be to pretend half the codes dont work. If I stay on to "make sure the code works" then getting a second code then is askign to be caught or wasteful.

Most of those gifts have a time limit. I got one that was good for two months. I assume if you use them after the time limit it gives you some error. Do you still have the e-mails so you can check the expiration date on the codes?

None of the emails I see have any sort of expiration date on them. The only dates are expirations for events that were going on.
Edit: I am mistaken... I see some have expirations now.
