What the pineapple. I spent real money on my wand in preparation for big bang. I'd better get at least 100k nx (pain and suffering I didn't actually spend that much, I'm not gross) compensation or a 10% damage buff on the wand or I'm going to go to their office and kick them in the throats.

Seems fair to me. Arch Mages are balanced with other classes now. It's completely unfair for them to get a free 1.25x damage boost.

The balance is justified, but this late of a notice is not. This should have been on the list of all of the other changes and events.

Ok, maybe there are some imbalances, but not enough to warrant a 1.25x boost. No other classes can obtain such a bonus. Arch Mages aren't at the bottom of the DPS chain anymore.

I'd agree with you but they did the same thing to Bishops after stating that EWands were working as intended. At least Arch Mages are getting some sort of compensation.

Usually when Nexon says "compensation", they mean less than 1-5k maple points 3-6 weeks down the road. It's something, but unless it's rewarded by wands in inventory, no one will really benefit from it. Even then, it would only be hoarders.

Maybe it's cuz I'm a bishop....but that wouldn't make sense since I also have a I/L, Evan and a Blaze Wizard. BUT I AM TOTALLY LOL'ING AND HAPPY!

From the perspective of the division of magicians that didn't get anything like a Holy-boosted wand or anything, I'm sorta mixed about this. I mean... I'm glad that us mages are all generally on an even level... but at the same time those ele staves and wands cost a fortune, and I know friends who own these are really upset about it. I hope there'll be compensation for it though.
...just no weapon boosts for those elemental weapons, no offense. That or actually giving healers their own Holy elemental weapons.

Actually, it's the most useless job in the game. Officially, like... i actually admit it now xD I still enjoy them though!
Big bang is so bittersweet given that all i play are mages/magic jobs. The power boost and new skills are... great. At the same time, my mages aren't really good at... anything anymore. They arent great at training... and they arent going to be used at bosses (i never expected that). Weapon attackers are so strong now that they dont need to bother with bringing mages (same story, different patch). Bossing aside. Training is awful now. I'm all for the ult cool down. Ults made the class boring. Putting the cool down on ults though mixed with the weak planning of the other attacks, equaled to about the mess i figured it would be. I now gain 1% an hour at oblivion on a mage that can one/two hit everything.
I never thought i'd see the day when a shadower out trains my mage at oblivion. LOL. now i know everyone isn't training very fast anymore at a high level, but... its more so depressing given that training was the only bright spot of playing a mage and now that one advantage is gone.
The whole elemental weapon nerf is somewhat mute anyway. If your godly and one/two hit all the mobs, the bonus does nothing but maybe make you noticeable at a boss. My main complaint is that i spent tons on mine (plus it would have been nice to know) but... change happens. Its more annoying though for people who can't afford % ints and now just lost a huge bonus. It's just another peach kick to the class as a whole. Now their just shiny colored weapons again. Nothing special for the class.
I guess i could just go back to my bishop, its somewhat entertaining seeing how in a small server like bellocan... people no longer ask for bishops really. Thanks to glitched self HB/door, the new damage formula and nerfed damage and boss exp n____n
Yes, the magic jobs as a whole are AMAZING now.

Didn't you read that I had other elemental classes? And for one, I had a I/L before I became a bishop (actually, I had 2 before a bishop). One reason I'm happy is because I no longer have to compete with A/M just trying to make myself feel worthy AND not regretting quitting my A/M. 2nd reason is for merchanting reasons alone. My elemental staves/wands will finally be able to sell like I wish they would've.
