Big Bang Hero - Intrepid Slash v. IS+Panic - Stereo - 2010-11-26 I worked up a fairly complicated Excel spreadsheet to figure out which of these is better. Still not 100% sure I've done it right. Initial results look something like Intrepid Slash, alone: 1380%/attack Intrepid Slash + Panic @ 10 orbs: 1195.3%/attack (average), 4.044 Intrepid Slashes per Panic. (average 1001.34% per IS+FA, 1980% per Panic+FA) The table itself is not easy to read, but here are some summative results:
The only time you hit 10 orbs in 2 attacks is when - 40%^3: Previous Panic did FA, so do both Intrepid Slashes - 80%^5: 3 FAs and 2 Intrepid Slashes all charge 2 orbs = 2.097152% as expected.
Note that this takes into account Intrepid Slash's chance of charging orbs, and thus increasing the number of orbs present when FA is cast. Haven't verified whether FA actually does this - if not, then IS+FA+Panic is even weaker. Big Bang Hero - Intrepid Slash v. IS+Panic - SaptaZapta - 2010-11-26 So, bottom line, the lazy-man's preference of just holding down the IS button is also the most effective damage? Big Bang Hero - Intrepid Slash v. IS+Panic - Stereo - 2010-11-26 Seems that way, yeah. The average damage of 1-9 orb IS is too low for Panic to compensate. Big Bang Hero - Intrepid Slash v. IS+Panic - ultimax21 - 2010-11-26 Good find, I guess if they somehow increase the amount of orbs for this combo then it would be more useful. Well back to the same 1 key spamming once again haha. Big Bang Hero - Intrepid Slash v. IS+Panic - Stereo - 2010-11-26 If you can get the 25% bonus damage for attacking darkness targets, it's worth using Panic - but it doesn't have that effect on bosses. So I guess wait for Lionheart Castle. |
