I dropped Dran's Note after getting it from Alcaster after I gave him the Homunsculer's Blood. Can I complete the Quest chain or do I have to forfeit it and start again? Or is this quest chain now unable to be completed?

I decided to forfeit the quest and nothing changed...I think I messed it up even more.lol

There is a way to reobtain Dran's Note after you beat the quest chain (up to "Dark Magician's Magic Circle" or whatever it's called in GMS). However since I see no other "rescue" quests, I think you're screwed
Join the party (failed Alpon's Nepenthes Juice quest shortly after I started playing when I tossed the juice twice to see what would happen. Result: failure to complete quest) and hope Big Bang lets us restart the quest chain when something goes wrong (or just make it so the NPC just gives us another copy of the quest item like some of the newer ones do instead of trying to salvage the quest through more "rescue" quests; most of these rescue quests are insufficient to help us for most situations).I used to toss every quest item to see what the NPC dialog is after we toss the item (I'm OC when it comes to storyline), but after that Nepenthes incident I follow directions.
