% att versus % stat - happy3happy - 2010-09-06 What does % att mean. Is it total att % or weapon att %? Which will be better? % att or % stat? % att versus % stat - Jon - 2010-09-06 kthen nevermind. % att versus % stat - Dark Link - 2010-09-06 I'd have to believe % Stat would be the better choice, as most of the time % Attack will only give you +3/6/9 and % Stat can easily beat that. % att versus % stat - Stereo - 2010-09-06 Jon Wrote:It's total attack % Funny, I heard the opposite, it only affects attack on your equipment. % att versus % stat - CarrionCrow - 2010-09-06 Jon Wrote:It's total attack %. So % attack is better. Stereo Wrote:Funny, I heard the opposite, it only affects attack on your equipment. We do have total damage % and attack % not total attack. Total damage affects the whole thing and is applied on the damage and not your range (?). Attack % only works on the equip given att , not pots/buffs. Total damage is best while % stat can be better than % att depending on your total stat/att % att versus % stat - Locked - 2010-09-06 Stereo Wrote:Funny, I heard the opposite, it only affects attack on your equipment. It affects total from what I've seen. % att versus % stat - Random_Overlord - 2010-09-06 Lets look at the basics: The average player above level 150+ can easily obtain 200+ w.att (+100 if they used an apple) The maximum potential stats for any item level 71 ~ 120 is 21%. So if you have 200 * 1.21 = 242 w.att and 363 w.att if you used an apple. This means you gain at least 63 w.att from a weapon through potential stats. Potential STAT%'s however work based on base stats. So if you have a base stat of 900 Strength, and had 21% str in a equipment of your choice, you have 900 * 1.21 = 1089, so you gain about 189 strength. If you take the average Stat-w.att ratio which is usualy 4 ~ 5 AP's per w.att. You get 37.8 ~ 47.25 w.att from Stat%'s. However for bossing purposes, it's good to have either %attack or Total damage % in cases where you have apple+thorns/SE to enhance your damage even more. % att versus % stat - GunisBack - 2010-09-06 So how would these rank against each other for bossing? Obviously damage on bosses % would be best, but how about the rest? Attack % Total Damage % Stat % Would it be? 1. Total Damage 2. Attack 3. Stat % att versus % stat - Random_Overlord - 2010-09-06 GunisBack Wrote:So how would these rank against each other for bossing? Obviously damage on bosses % would be best, but how about the rest? Boss damage 30% does uber crap. It only adds 30% to your skills before damage calculation. 1) Total damage % 2) attack % 3) Stat % 4) Boss damage %. % att versus % stat - ¥-Striker-¥ - 2010-09-06 u forgot crit % crit% is useful too % att versus % stat - Dark Link - 2010-09-06 Random_Overlord Wrote:Lets look at the basics: I could've sworn I read somewhere here that Stat % affected TOTAL, not just base and % Attack didn't get affected by pots / consumables... EDIT: Found it Quote:Q: Do the Percent bonuses from gear apply to your base stats (like Maple Warrior), or all stats (stats after maple warrior and gear bonuses)? ...And last I checked, 10% of 110 = 11 and 8% of 110 = 8.8 =/ % att versus % stat - happy3happy - 2010-09-06 How useful is % crit? Do you need inherent crit to gain any bonus? I know % stat is something like (%stat&otherstatbonus+base)*MW or something like that. % att versus % stat - Locked - 2010-09-06 Random_Overlord Wrote:Boss damage 30% does uber crap. Completely wrong. 1) Boss damage 2) Stat % 3/4) Total Damage/Attack% % att versus % stat - Kalovale - 2010-09-06 Random_Overlord Wrote:Lets look at the basics: That's a very... incomprehensible approach. Current formula: (modifier * primaryStat + secondaryStat) * Watk/100 Ignoring secondaryStat, we can simplify it down to: A*B/100 Any elementary kid can tell you that whether you raise A, B, or A*Watk/100 by 1.5x, the result you get is the same. Now then we take into account the existence of apple, Watk becomes (B + 100) => dmg = A * (B +100)/100 The same thing remains the same if you raise A, (B + 100) or A*(B+100)/100 by 1.5x, but it's been up in the air that you cannot do the bolded, as +%Atk does not cover the addition from potions/skills(?). So obviously, the And it seems you haven't learned anything from the last time bashing bossDmg%. % att versus % stat - Liteness - 2010-09-06 just wondering, which would be best, 30% boss dmg or crit rate chance since i have passive crit? i read somewhere that crit rate gives 100% bonus dmg? o.o % att versus % stat - Locked - 2010-09-06 Liteness Wrote:just wondering, which would be best, 30% boss dmg or crit rate chance since i have passive crit? i read somewhere that crit rate gives 100% bonus dmg? o.o Why not have both? It's possible. % att versus % stat - Liteness - 2010-09-06 ah yea didnt think of that haha % att versus % stat - larmie - 2010-09-06 NL classes/NW will be better off w/ % atk as their attack contribute a lot more to their damage than for other classes. To clarify: a good claw+stars has far less attack than a good sword or bow. While a Hero would have about 200 w.att, an equally equipped NL would have only 150. So, a +100 w.att apple would give the Hero 50% boost to his damage, but the NL 66% boost. However, +21% attack would give them both, well, a 21% boost to their damage. In absolute w.att, it would add 42 attack to the Hero, but only 31.5 to the NL. |
