Mostly how long do you think it will take for most of them (mainly flowsion) to be able to update.
I've already updated my GMS client (because I still play GMS) and my harddrive is actually full, so I can't have another MS client for .55.

For ones with handy developers, I'd give it a month or two at most. Others may take longer, some others already have them (but in less-than-working order perhaps).
I posted this in another thread: Once someone decides to step up and make a forum where Maple Story Private Server Developers can congregate, and gets the updates being sent out, private servers will be back on their feet. They just have to make sure they make Nexon unable to target them somehow like they were able to target Odin.

There's an almost working 57 out. The main issue is a new add-on in the client that DCs you if you connect to a non-Nexon IP after a few minutes, if I remember correctly.

Like the two previous posters... There has already been some preliminary .57 servers. But it will indeed take a few months until it acclimates back to the point it was at before, with a fully working game minus irrelevant although fun features.

It was a small set back. When someone gets determined again and puts forth the effort to gather people, they'll be back

There isn't something special in 0.55->0.56
There was already big patches before.
But most of the developers aren't experienced with updating version with many changes.
Serp isn't doing it anymore, and I am busy with other things with the server.

I'm sure most popular private servers are down at the moment, and most of that bunch are not even planning to come back up.
