Yes.
I only believe you can get 8x when its a card + Owl + Event 2x. Family doesn't stack with Owl, or so I've heard.

Family 2x exp is the only 2x exp "buff" that doesn't stack with other specific sources of 2x exp.
Family 2x exp doesnt stack with;
The Dual Blade 2x exp feather event thing
Server 2x Exp events
