I'm just wondering if Cruel Ring is better than Crit Ring after the BB patch, when the crit effects are removed. Both rings supposedly will still have the same rate of instant death, but they will differ with the attack bonuses: Cruel Ring (being 3 att) while the Crit Ring (being 2 att). Am I right on this one?
I was wondering, as of what I have heard from Spadow (credits to whoever or whatever)
Anywayz, the KMST, KMST, JMS, god knows where they come from have been saying that the Critical Ring is the best. However how can this be, and I missing something?
I mean the new form is:
[SIZE="5"]Critical Ring: 2 watk+ x amount of instant death+ Zero Ctitical Hit
Cruel Ring: 3 watk+ x amount of instant death+ Zero Critical Hit
Magical Ring: N/A[/SIZE]
Am I missing something?
And remember since I used x in both, the amount of Instant Death expressed above is the same, even though I dont quite remember the new value.
I really need help, or does the [SIZE="5"]Cruel if you solo, Crit is you Party rule still apply?[/SIZE]

1 wAtk is an unnoticeable difference, so I would go with the higher critical rate to see more red numbers. Although, I don't know the instant death rates on either ring.

If crit class post Big Bang, Critical ring is the way to go. If not, unless the bonus crit damage from the magical ring also got removed it will be that, or if it was removed then Critcal ring.

Crit ring: +10% crit chance, 2 attack, insta death bla bla
Cruel ring: +5% crit chance, 3 attack, ^

Everyone crits after Big Bang. 5% more crit chance = 5% chance to do at least 135% damage on average = 1.75% extra damage even without any crit skills. One Weapon Attack is not going to be more than 1.75% extra damage except at very low levels. You've got to have less than 57 total Weapon Attack and no crit boosting skills or equips for Cruel Ring to be better.

Hmm, for mages without any critical bonuses, it's better to use a critical ring (in terms of average DPS) unless 4 magic attack is more than 5,25% of your total magic attack (which it shouldn't be).

Because the strength of the mage is with the magic attack, and critical attack.... ermmm not sure. @_@
