Oh wow, Brawlers! - LiquidSwing - 2010-06-18 I made a pirate today! At first spamming just Somersault Kick thing was kind of boring with such a short range, but then I hit 30. I took Brickwalker's advice and put 1 point into back elbow slide thing, and man its so fun! Chaining elbow things with Kicks or Punches is very fun, it's very refreshing in comparison to the standard spam slash blast or whatever. I like how the fighting is starting to become more fluid and fun at such a low level. I'am lvl 35 now, with 1 pt in elbow thing, maxed Max hp thing, and like 5 points into Knuckle Mastery. My only question now is, how does training change from here? Do I get more fun goodies to weave into combat with? Also is corkscrew blow useful? haha thanks Haivng a blast with my brawler!
Oh wow, Brawlers! - shouri - 2010-06-18 Corkscrew should be maxed first in terms of attacking skills. put 1 point into double upper. It's fun to chain after backspin blow. Oh wow, Brawlers! - LiquidSwing - 2010-06-19 Thanks for the advice! I made a lolsair today. Cant really say what kind of impact it had on me. Dash or whatever it is called seems like crap. Whenever I use a skill it cancels the effect. It seems it's only awesome for moving from one monster to another. But then again it has added some fun to the class. Im not real sure what to think. Im maxing Invisible Shot first because I want a hard hitting mob skill early, afterwards Ill grab mastery. Do lolsairs get more interesting at higher levels? Oh wow, Brawlers! - Worthyness - 2010-06-19 Float + recoil = WIN Oh wow, Brawlers! - Sn1perJohnE - 2010-06-19 Main chaining attacks for mobs is Corkscrew, SSK, backspin. Theres a few ways to work it, but the lack of invincibility frames in backspin annoys me sometimes, especially when i use back spin to mob and then turn right after and SSK and get hit. Gather up big enough mob and SSK to death. More practical, and more EXP. :> Oh wow, Brawlers! - Sn1perJohnE - 2010-06-19 IllegallySane Wrote:CSB + SSK. Gather up big enough mob and SSK to death. Not much of a drop in exp when the mobs die in ~3-4 hits (red goblins in Golden Temple) Oh wow, Brawlers! - LiquidSwing - 2010-06-25 So I got my Lawler and Dungslinger to 50 today for their rings! When I got to lvl 50 on my brawler and sat down for a break to think, a thought occured to me; What is the point in back elbow slide thing? The guide told me to put my first point into it to make leveling easier. But once I got Corkscrew Blow, leveling became WAY easier and more fun, I was introduced to the lovely world of Buccaneer's invincibility frames, and I never used elbow slide thing again. I've been trying to work elbow slide thing into my training, but it clashes with the invincibility frames of CSB so I have no idea how to use it in conjunction with it. I just can't find a place for it, It's always CSB -> Sum Kick -> CSB -> Sum Kick, repeat and enjoy :>. But now I'm wondering why I even put a point into it. On my Gunslinger, I had a few thoughts as well. I'am loving Dash more and more and more. When I go from playing my hunter to my gunslinger, I'am always like D: no speed! It definitely makes getting around in White Mama Monkey maps alot faster. I'am debating on maxing dash on my Brawler because it is so fun. Invisible Shot is ok but now I'am wondering what the point was in me maxing it first before mastery. I'm also wondering why it doesn't feel like Gun Booster is affecting invisible shot. Right now I'am maxing recoil shot and afterwards I'll do wings so I can float like a butterfly and shoot like a cowboy =D. Its hard for me to use recoil shot with wings right but im trying haha. I havnt put any points into blank shot yet. From the looks of it you can combo it with Invisible shot to kill things. Does damage break the stun of blank shot? Also is grenade even worth it? Oh wow, Brawlers! - Takebacker - 2010-06-25 You get 1 point in backspin because it's range is much larger than level 1 CSBs and stuns. After you start putting points into CSB it outdoes backspin to the point where it isn't as useful for it's range or damage, but the stunning is invaluable later on which is why it's an important skill. Oh wow, Brawlers! - CrimsonJohnny - 2010-06-25 Grenade is 100% crap. You'll have leftover points to put in it for lulz, but it has no use whatsoever. Except for watching exploding spheres fly out of your pants. Oh wow, Brawlers! - MasPan - 2010-06-25 CrimsonJohnny Wrote:Grenade is 100% crap. It's possible to train with it in Aqua, where you can drop a f***ton of them and the reduced gravity makes them fall pretty much close together (really fun to watch 10 of them explode at once on a small mob). Otherwise useless. Otherwise useless. It's fun at squids. If they made it have a set throw distance and didn't give it 0% mastery, it'd be somewhat useful. |
