Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - Rob - 2010-06-02 Goddammit SP, no f'ucking love for the Word Cup? Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - Manu - 2010-06-02 Not really exited, but my country is so fucking exited that It'll get countagious at least during the time of the matches. Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - Drift - 2010-06-02 I remember 4 years ago me and a friend played MS while watching games...this year it'll probably be DFO >.> Games are more fun to play than to watch; I'll watch if they're on, but not going (to far) out of my way to watch them (unlike my family). Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - Kalovale - 2010-06-02 My lolcountry will never make it past Asian-wide leagues, I don't dream about the excitement of World Cup. I do feel excited about those allnighters waiting to be pulled in front of the TV though, I'll cheer for you guys I guess, Robby. Most matches are played at 3 PM so that's like 10 AM here, perfect excuse not to work ![]() Almost 8 days! Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - Berzerk - 2010-06-02 No, I'm not. I'm more excited for E3. :3 Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - Rob - 2010-06-02 Shush Tyler Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - Dusk - 2010-06-02 Was tempted to do a "you mean soccer?" troll post. Thought better of it. I don't really keep up with the sport, but I'll probably end up watching a few games. Good luck to...where are you from again? Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - holyforest - 2010-06-02 I like the aspect of the different nations from around the world competing against each other. I might watch a few games. Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - Locked - 2010-06-02 It's always between Argentina, Brazil, France, and Italy. I've made it a tradition to watch the World Cup with my family, so yes, I'm excited. Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - FrozNlite - 2010-06-02 I'm not a huge sports fan, but I'll watch the World Cup this year. Soccer is such an exciting sport...better than American football LOL. Seriously, I love talking to isolated people here at home about soccer. You know, the ones who go, "Is soccer really big around the world?" And I go, "You think *insert most popular local sport here* is big?" Where are you from? I'm reluctant to be confident enough to think Argentina will do a good role. We have Messi and Maradona in the bench but I dunno man. @Dan: well just so you can measure how big football is here, when Argentina plays a match, the whole country gets paralized. Business stops, you see very few people on the streets, eveyone is watching the game or listening to it on the radio. Even most workplaces have a TV. Plus, people watch the games at school too. Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - Tay - 2010-06-02 Football?

No just kidding, go Korea! Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - Locked - 2010-06-02 Rob Wrote: Venezuela. They haven't done well in the World Cup recently, and I don't really have much hope for my country. Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - Manu - 2010-06-02 Same here, in Chile the country stops for the matches, even for some where Chile doesn't play. I know that the chilean matches will be (At least the first 2 or 3) at 7:30 AM and my school will open earlier than that so taht whoever wants to watch it there can do so, and we start classes after the normal time. Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - FrozNlite - 2010-06-02 @Rob: Dang. Expected, as that's all I've heard, but it's even more powerful coming from someone living the "rumors," as many ignorant white people here say. My Dad was able to shine some light into the global football culture, though, by saying that while backpacking across Europe in 1982 he found himself in Rome the day Italy won the World Cup in their home stadium. Needless to say that's a pretty prominent memory. & @Dusk: XD. My Dad's been a season ticketholder for the Bears for 25ish+ years. I grew up going to games 9 rows behind the north end zone, watching the Superbowl every year, etc., but still....15 minutes of total play time does not compete with non-stop, fast-paced, action-packed soccer (and hockey, to be honest. Both are great). Is anyone excited about the Football World Cup? - Super_cyp - 2010-06-02 I've never really followed any sports, but I always find soccer enjoyable to watch.. Go socceroo's...! :f6: |
