Yeah, this was shown at some film festivals last year, obviously its been picked up.
The sequal is supposed to be called like "full sequence," and have twelve people connected with even worse experiments.

It doesn't seem overly scary, it just seems "gross". Like how the Saw series kinda grossed me out. Very rarely will I be scared by a horror movie, though I admit, the very first "The Grudge" movie creeped me out a bit upon watching it for the first time.
