Southperry's damage calculator - Magic damage. - Kalovale - 2010-02-03 In the example below, I'm using arbitrary numbers for Int and Magic Attack values, as I am under the impression that they contribute equally to the damage output (verify please.) ![]() Inputs:
What am I doing wrong? Or am I understanding something wrong here? EDIT: Checked and maxed Amp is 140%, still doesn't cut it. Southperry's damage calculator - Magic damage. - Russt - 2010-02-03 "Magic Attack" is in fact the total, or 1150. INT actually contributes very little to the damage aside from incrementing Magic Attack. Southperry's damage calculator - Magic damage. - Fiel - 2010-02-03 uhhh, no way in hell you have 1146 MATK with only 4 INT. Also, you should have 140% Amp, not 135%. For those wondering how he got to the SP damage calc, it can be found here, I'm just too lazy to put it in the navbar. Hah. Yeah I was trying to exaggerate the effect of "Magic Attack", which I presumed to be the Magic Attack value from your weapon, cape, gloves, pendant, whatever.. It's still quite a bit unclear to me. From what Russt said, I can infer that 1 Int doesn't directly contribute as much dmg as 1 Matk does, but it amplifies (?) that 1 Matk's effect in such a way that it contributes equally in the end, is this correct? Either way, I was just confused between Matk and Magic, yet again.
Southperry's damage calculator - Magic damage. - Fiel - 2010-02-03 In Maplestory, open up your stats window. Click the little arrow at the bottom of the stats window to extend the stats window to the right. Your magic attack value is located in the right pane (should be neatly labeled). Input that magic attack value with the INT value in the left pane. INT is the stat you can allocate AP into. 1 INT gives you 1 MATK. MATK = INT + MATK from equips + MATK from Meditate Basic Attack is listed in the skill description Southperry's damage calculator - Magic damage. - Kalovale - 2010-02-03 Fiel Wrote:In Maplestory, open up your stats window. The problem is
It's called "Magic" in-game, thus the confusion. Do I input Int values and then another values that's already containing the Int value in itself? Makes no sense. So I assumed it to be the "Matk from equips/buffs", which implies a total Magic damage (shown in-game) when added with Int itself.Although it makes sense that the value that's above "Magic Defense" should be "Magic Attack", not "Magic". |
