Super Snowboard or Maple Karstan? - bio9205 - 2009-12-22
I've considered these two to be my endgame weapon for my Aran. By endgame I mean fourth job or so, I doubt I'll go far.
Anyway, which of these two is the better choice? Here are their stats, clean:
Super Snowboard
Level 50
W.Atk: 85
M. Atk: 85
Speed +20
Weapon Speed: Fast (Not too sure on exact speed, can anyone check on this? Thanks)
Maple Karstan
Level 64
W.Atk: 85
STR +3
Accuracy +35
Weapon Speed: Normal (6)
Taking into account that I'm low DEX (DEX = level) and that I have not much of a problem hitting monsters now, which should I choose when I hit level 64? The Karstan gives me STR and accuracy, but the SSB is one of the fastest PAs in-game. Should I go for speed, or power?
Note that the Super Snowboard is level 70 in some versions, but not for MSEA.

You should DEFINITELY go with the Super Snowboard. It's fast and just as strong as the Karstan. If your DEX = level then you probably won't need the Accuracy too badly.

I thought MSEA had relatively common purple surfboards, given most of the top Arans on ranks used one. It's the same speed as Super Snowboard.

Purple Snowboards were easily available for the higher-leveled players during the event when they dropped, thus the top Arans were able to obtain them more easily.
I'm undecided because I'm more for the SSB, but the Karstan seems to be the popular choice.

DEX = level is anything but low-DEX. Anymore, that'd easily be considered high (aka ridiculous) DEX.

Considering they are still only lvl 51, its low dex on the idea of end game.
As for what to use, if you have both, use the SSB for normal training, and the Karstan when you are unable to hit higher lvled monsters.

DEX = 2 x level seems to be the normal build. I'm going to stop adding DEX when I hit 60. I guess I'll go with Liteness' suggestion.
Another thing: If I can only afford to upgrade one of the two, which one should it be?

Again, if you're going regular- or even low-dex then you should upgrade the Super Snowboard.

Hate to break it to you, but anything above ~20-30 DEX is regular DEX. 5x DEX is bordering on high.

And obviously if you dont need the accuracy super snowboards much better. and its fast 5.

I restarted my Aran because everybody was laughing at my 8X DEX at level 40.
Don't make the same mistake I did. Stick with the Super Snowboard.
