I didn't list them in any particular order. That's why I said Lyrics thieves, not thief. Just interesting, not with just this, of the impact American artists are having on Korean music. I see similarities everywhere, in many artists... Eminem vs. Epik High - butterfλi - 2009-12-10 GMSInfighter Wrote:Eminem did the song in 2002, I don't think Epik High was even performing until 2003. An artist today can still steal lyrics from a song from the 1950's and it would still be stealing. I don't think Epic High "stole" these lyrics though. The lyrics of both are describing a very similar situation--a person being on stage, on the spotlight. Mentally, what's going on on a person's mind are similar as the two have been in the same situation and are now retelling their experience and how they've experienced it. You're on stage, people are waiting to hear something happen, the "bomb is ticking", you try to "look calm and ready" but inside you're nervous as hell. This is your moment to shine, this is your chance to go big or go home. That's the experience they're describing. I'm no Epic High fan but unless you can find more than 1.5 lines lyrics that overlap or unless EH admits they were "inspired" by Eminem in an interview or something, I'm passing this off as a coincidence. Eminem vs. Epik High - GMSInfighter - 2009-12-10 I never said he stole the lyrics, I was just pointing out that the song was written before Epik was even performing is all. My bad. .Both come from my two favorite albums ever. ![]() EDIT: I'm aware it wasn't direct "stealing" in that way. Just came as a bit of an obvious influence. EH makes references to American hip-hop artists in their songs ALL THE TIME, so this is no coincidence, I'm pretty sure. Eminem vs. Epik High - inMotions - 2009-12-12 Funny, I have both those songs in my library yet I've never noticed that. And yeah, I've noticed that Korean artists is somewhat adapting to American culture. G-dragon reminds me of Lady Gaga, no? :| |
