Anyone have epic remixes that are actually better than the original? - IllegallySane - 2009-10-17
By this I mean it's just a remix of a song that you pretty much find better than the original, OR it can be the people who remixed the original did great justice to NOT ruin/spoil the original's theme. Mostly, it's the ability to grab what makes the originals good, and cranking it up to 11.

Last one was up for grabs. I like the original for it's simple yet calming nature, but the 2nd one wins for having lyrics and an upbeat nature. It's not calming, but it's rather nice to listen to. It's not really cranking the dial on the original up to 11, but more finding an opposite equal to the calm "To Zanarkind".

For me it's too fast to the original one, and MJ's passion in his voice can't be beat. Alien Ant's feel like a more generic rock song, but MJ's Smooth Criminal has a certain finesse it it. Also, invention of the 45 degree lean. Enough said.
*I dunno, I just like the original more, and this is coming from a guy who played Alien Ant's Smooth Criminal on Rockband before hearing Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal.

Take My Hand by The Cab Remix is pretty good. They threw in a girl, I think her name was like, Cassidy Pope or something. Made the song 20x better.
