[spam] Art Thread! - Venison! - 2008-07-21

Hoppin' on the bandwagon. I doodle a lot, and sadly enough, most of what comes out is Maplestory fanart. Primarily of my character, Venison, the priest. I don't know why this is. But since there is an art subforum here, I will use it to my advantage!

Note: These are all just random doodles. I can't finish anything I start so if anything says incomplete or whatever, it's not a work in progress--it's literally just incomplete. I have a very, very short attention span and I can't work on anything for long enough to finish it.

Also, the reason why I always draw the same stuff over and over? Because I'm not creative and I just don't draw many random characters. I'm up for new material possibilities, though, so if you want me to try your character drop me a line. ;D No fees & no guarantees. Woo!

WARNING: PICTURES MIGHT BE BIG BECAUSE I DRAW THEM HUUUGE AND I SCALE THEM DOWN A BUTTLOAD BUT THEY ARE STILL HUUUGE!

Also, just to say, I use really only Photoshop to do everything. (CS2, but I can do the same stuff in 7 or CS1, it really doesn't make a difference. OH AND IT'S LEGAL it's just a student license.) I own Painter and have Open Canvas and ... cough ... obtained Flash, but I keep going back to Photoshop because I loove it.

I use a Wacom Intuous 2. I got it when it was a lot cheaper than they are now...It was like $95 or something and its 5x7.

I reccomend any Wacom product. I hear the Bamboo is pretty awesome, and it's fairly cheap. Oh, and one thing about tablets: SIZE DOESN'T MATTER Big Grin! Unless you want huge space to draw on, the big tablets are damned annoying. (My mom has a 12x16 one and it's really annoying to use.) So get the teeny weeny one. :3

I like you, girl. Though, as constructive criticism, I'd say that the sunrise is a tad fat compared to a normal sunrise Sad Make it thinner!

lyk..What are you peeps doing...it seams to confusing to draw with a tablet...you like..move ur hand on a peice of paper but see the drawing on the comp..must be hard as hell

Haha it's a bit annoying to get used to at first but the learning curve is quick! Tablets are amazing, I recommend them to anyone even remotely interested in any kind of computer artwork. :3 A mouse can do anything, but a tablet can do it faster!
