How does damage reduction work, like im training at newties at lvl 76 and im seeing major damage reduction due to the level difference, would it be any different if i went to squids?

Isn't damage reduction = to the level difference? I think at level 76 it's 29% reduction in addition to their w-def.

Oh my God, someone already did.
For every level higher a monster is higher than you, you do 1% less damage.
