There are no monsters at all. Just NPCs. The things you saw are monster-shaped NPCs (___ King Goblin, Papulatus, Elliza). And I believe it will be monsters tomorrow, don't worry...

Oh, and I failed on Agent Marco twice today. Then I realized that they changed it to Agent M. Fail.

Pretty new. When they took away the umm... apple-head training camp and brought back Maple Island, some of the quests changed. And it's not the first quest in the game (my bad), but still pretty close to it.
